I viewed many 3.5 readers before selecting this one. This reader worked flawlessly on my Windows 11 laptop using the included instructions. Instructions were thorough and easy to follow. There was also a pleasant letter from the company owner with contact info to help work thru problems you may encounter. The price was reasonable considering it will no longer be needed once you transfer your files. I suspect some of the negative reviews may be based on operator error or corrupted disks. Based on my experience I highly recommend!

This works perfectly! It's very easy to use. I plugged it in, slid in a floppy, opened the drive. I was able to access old photos I thought were lost forever! I have to mention, a reviewer complained how this didn't read content. This is only a drive to access the 3½" floppy. Your software reads the documents. Over time some files cannot be read due to compatibility issues. It has nothing to do with the drive itself. That's a software issue.

Have packed around almost 100 disks for years because I knew someday I would find a way to get my pictures. Plug and play on windows 11 and worked like a charm. So happy I didn't lose those pictures!

Read most files. Outdated extensions were not convertible but the Floppy Disk Reader did download them. Recognition of yet even older files did not read. Had to wait on some disks to load before able to read. Rate a 4/5.

Easy to use, works fine, and I was able to read those old floppy disks. I had forgotten how clunky those floppy drives were.

This is the second USB 3.5 floppy in a row that I've purchased that has had this same issue. When you plug it in for the first time, it reads the first disk's contents correctly, and you can move and copy those contents. Then, when you eject the first disk and plug in another, it does not update the contents list, continuing to show you the contents of the first disk. I then rebooted my computer and tried again, at which point the computer told me the drive was inaccessible.

Upon cleaning my warehouse, I stumbled across quite a few of the floppy disks that had my grandchildren’s photos as they were growing up. I showed them to my husband Husband as I had a lot of of them and I said I have no way of looking at these, but I don’t want to throw them away because those are very good memories. So he ordered the floppy disk reader 3.5 inch external USB and AC floppy disk reader. You can’t imagine my joy when I was able to insert a floppy disk into the reader and see 25 year-old memories come back to life again. I absolutely love my floppy disk reader, and it was very well worth the price. The happy memories it brought me was indescribable. If you find that you have 3 1/half inch floppy discs from years ago don’t throw them away invest in a floppy disk reader and enjoy those memories because soon they’ll be gone. I highly recommend this product. It was very easy to use on my laptop computer. The drive quality is very smooth. The speed is a little bit slower, but that’s OK. It’s very durable and the storage capacity is almost endless when you’re looking at these memories of the past. In my pictures is just a few of the floppy discs that I have.

Was a little skeptical at first, but it works like a champ! Plug and play. Did have to clear and open new window between disks, but that is a small price to pay to be able to recover these old 3.5"!

It worked only with the first floppy I put in. Anything else, including the first floppy which worked in the first place, ended up giving an error of being inaccessible.

Works great with my son’s computer. Works the way it should.

Hola, el lector de discos de 3.5 no funciona, lo conecto, enciende y se apaga, ya lo conecte a una computadora con windos 10, con windows 11 y una laptop windows 10 home y no enciende y no lo puedo utilizar. ¿que debo de hacer? Soy Carlos Alcala coronado
