I use this to mount my A7C2 + Lens to use as a webcam. The clamp is attached to a monitor arm on my desk - it holds the weight just fine and so far has not had any issues with slipping or falling.

This is so functional to what I need that I had to buy 2 more!

I am happy I bought this for my action camera kit. What an excellent device. I can't say enough good things about about the fixture's build quality. The clamp is strong, the flexibility and firmness of the articulating cameras support is solid. Especially with Action cameras. It also folds compactly, and doen't take up much space at all. It's with me everywhere I go with a camera - no matter how my kit is set for any particular day. It has been a tremendous help.

If you’re not careful, you will tighten this too tight and be unable to loosen it. It does not fit in most places in my car and is for mainly table top use you will need an attachment to mount your phone. Otherwise it is very doable and an easy design.

I was pleasantly surprised with this rig, i haven't tested it on my large camera (canon 7D w/battery grip) but for gopros and smaller cameras, it is rock solid. great for filming in enclosed spaces where you might not have room for a tripod or when you need to secure to something that is vertically mounted. nice quality feel too.

Smallrig quality, and easy to use. Three times the price of the cheap brands, but I find it worth it cause the quality and ease of use saves me time—and time is money.

EDIT: They rectified the experience for me, great company! Original 3/5 star review: I love all of the improvements that were made over the previous version. Overall more ergonomically sound, easier to tighten the knobs and the new clamp is an incredibly good upgrade. The one major downgrade is the stability of the arm at the ball joints. The previous version of the magic arm held up my equipment and really, really did not allow it to move when locked. The new one moves with even slight movement with the same setup. Stops it from being able to be used on anything that is moved while filming. Not sure if I just have a bad one or if this is just how they work now.

Si estás buscando una abrazadera robusta para montar tu cámara de acción, monitor o lo que sea en un sitio que vibra mucho (como una moto o una bicicleta de montaña), deja de buscar. Este Super Clamp con Magic Arm de SMALLRIG es otro nivel. La compré específicamente para sujetar una cámara en el manillar de la moto y poder grabar mis rutas. Tenía miedo de que se aflojara con la vibración o que la cámara saliera volando, pero nada de eso. La calidad de construcción es increíble: es puro metal, los tornillos de apriete son gigantes y la rótula del brazo mágico es fuertísima. Lo mejor de todo es que, por mucha vibración que haya, la cámara ni se inmuta, ni se tambalea, ni se mueve un milímetro. La aprietas bien con el tornillo de 1/4" y se queda anclada como si fuera parte de la moto. Ventajas clave: Robustez máxima: Es un tanque. Aguanta vibraciones y velocidad sin problemas. Brazo Mágico top: Lo ajustas al ángulo perfecto y lo bloqueas con una sola rosca grande. Fijación segura: El Super Clamp se agarra a cualquier barra o tubo con una presión brutal. Versatilidad: Sirve para cámaras, luces, móviles... lo que se te ocurra.

Vorab: Ich bin richtig begeistert, so gut hatte ich das nicht erwartet! Ich wollte eigentlich nur eine Klammerhalterung für meine Insta360 X5 haben, um sie irgendwo festklammern zu können. Stabil sollte es sein wegen Zeitrafferaufnahmen. Das hier wird beworben mit "bis zu 1,5kg Tragkraft" und ich konnte mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen, wie das bitte gehen soll. Aber nach den ersten Tests glaube ich das sofort! Dass das Gelenk mit Riffelung fixiert werden kann hatte ich erwartet. Mich haben allerdings die Kugelköpfe skeptisch werden lassen. Wie soll das bitte richtig fest werden!? Nun, wenn man das Gelenk "zuschraubt" greift zum einen die Riffelung ineinander zum fixieren. Soweit so klar. Im Inneren des Gestells jedoch scheint sich dadurch zusätzlich etwas zu bewegen, das dann massiv Druck auf die Kugelköpfe bringt. Da bewegt sich wirklich nichts mehr! So sollte auch eine größere DSLR locker halten. (um meine X5 mach ich mir nun absolut und überhaupt keine Sorgen mehr :D ) Die Klammer selbst ist auch extrem fest und dank doppeltem Gewinde dreht man sich auch keinen Wolf. Insgesamt fühlt sich das ganze Stativ extrem hochwertig an, richtig festes Metall. Ich war wirklich so begeistert, dass ich unbedingt ein Video dazu aufnehmen musste. Das Ding bekommt eine absolute Kaufempfehlung von mir!
