The item is a shelf - to be accurate two shelves - that fit into GeekPi's server cabinet range T0, T1 and T2. It's easy to fit - took me less than two minutes with a T0 cabinet.

In essence, this 0.5U metal rack shelf enables equipment which is too small for rack mounting or not equipped with the fixing mounts, to sit happily amongst those devices that can and not succumb to overheating. It comes complete with all necessary fixings for cantilever mounting (Ie fixed at one end only) and will do a simple job well but the price is more worthy of a larger 1U shelf!

I needed a shelf to put some smart home hubs into a 10 inch rack. This ticks the boxes. It even has holes to allow you to cable tie or mount hubs onto the shelf. Installation was easy, needed to use my own hardware as the included hardware is specific for the GeekPi rack. I like that it is 0.5U so doesn't take up much space. I have no idea what the two extra bits are for, they are 1U spaced and you could use to support the shelf with a bit of tinkering, but really no idea of their use.

Decent rack shelf - measures 9.84 inches across - fits a 10" cabinet perfectly. Reasonably lightweight with a good quality black finish. Solid performer.

Misleading size. It’s not a standard rack mount size at all. They’re tiny.

De plus, son design compact m'a permis de maximiser l'espace dans le rack. La ventilation est un autre point fort. Grâce aux perforations bien placées, j'ai remarqué une amélioration de la circulation de l'air dans mon armoire. Cela réduit les risques de surchauffe, ce qui est essentiel pour les appareils électroniques. Elle est également compatible avec la plupart des équipements de 1U, ce qui est un atout pour les utilisateurs qui pourraient envisager d'autres installations à l'avenir. Cependant, je reste vigilant sur la longévité des matériaux, car je ne peux pas encore juger de leur résistance dans le temps. Mais pour l’instant, je suis satisfait de cet achat. J'apprécie le rapport qualité-prix par rapport à d'autres modèles que j'ai vus. Dans l'ensemble, je recommande cette étagère pour ceux qui cherchent un support solide et ventilé.

It's a nice pretty shelf if you have a white rack as well. I found the 1RU blanks you can get will need modding to also cover the outside of these, the metal lip on the blanks goes right to the edge so having a shelf there too means there's interference. These are strong, nothing you will put in the rack can bend them.

An sich ganz gut aber: a) Warum sind nur silberne Schrauben dabei? Oder hab ich das falsche für das schwarze DeskPI bestellt? Als Workaround hab ich die schwarzen Schrauben die für die hinteren Backen der Einlage die dabei war verwendet und eben hinten für alles die silbernen. b) Ein Ohr ist nicht richtig beschichtet. Ich konnte es zwar etwas glatt und andrücken, aber mal schauen wie lange das hält. c) Warum sind die Backen hinten 1U wenn das eigentlich eine 0.5U Einlage ist?
