One for All URC1110 Universal Replacement Remote Control for Apple TV Set

I'm usually a huge fan of everything Apple, and while the 4K Apple TV box is amazon, the remote is not. Instead of making it metal, they should have spent a bit more time on design. The original remote is awful. Tiny, not backlit, limited buttons. It's not great. The URC1110 remote checks all the boxes. After cutting our cable, we watch mostly DTV Stream, Apple TV, Amazon, Disney+, etc. We do it all through the Apple TV device passed through a Denon receiver into an LG TV. This remote seamlessly controls the power of all three devices, and was easily set up to control the volume through my receiver. The size of the remote is just right, slightly larger than the original, has a few extra useful buttons and is backlit! Pretty much perfect. I did have to turn off my HDMI communication on my PS5 as the power button was it on/off, but this has not caused any issues. I highly recommend this remote. My only minor complaint is that it does not really come with any instructions, but you can quickly find whatever you need online to get your system running smoothly.

It's so refreshing when a product works the first time as advertised! This remote is wonderful and connected to my Apple TV and non-– smart Samsung TV the first time with no hassle. Would definitely buy again!

Designed specifically to replace the Apple Remote, it replicates all of the functions, including Siri, and I think it does some things better. It paired automatically with the Apple TV 4K, and even knew the code to control my TV volume with IR, without any setup. I don’t have anything that uses the Guide button, but the Menu button serves as the Back/Up button in all apps. It doesn’t have a built in battery so you don’t need to charge it, just put a couple of AAA batteries in and you’re good to go. It lacks the heft of the solid chunk of aluminum original remote, but it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. The buttons fell off our Apple Remote, which led to needing a replacement, so it’s not exactly a paragon of durability anyway. Oh! And the backlight is fantastic when you’re using it in a dark home theater, even after you get used to the button layout. I haven’t tried it with our soundbar, and there are no instructions how to pair it with anything other than the Apple TV. The lack of documentation is the only major flaw. All things considered, I still strongly recommend it.

I've only had the remote for a couple of days, but so far so good. It paired with my AppleTv 4K instantly; as soon as I placed it close to the box. Nothing more needed to be done. One of the reasons to consider it is if you're not a fan of the AppleTV remote's 'swiping' feature; which I am not. I admire the concept behind that, but, like many, I find myself swiping when I didn't intend to and getting unwanted results. It's also worth mentioning that the replacement remote offers more buttons than the AppleTV remote. I'm not saying it has additional capabilities. I'm just saying that your choices are laid out explicitly right in front of you. That makes for a remote that's a bit larger than the AppleTV remote, but I feel it's worth it. The URC1110 remote does seem to backlight its buttons, which is nice. However, to be honest I have yet to figure out the exact circumstances where that is triggered. It just seems to happen once in a while. One important thing to know: My findings so far is that you won't be able to use both the URC1110 *and* the remote that comes with the AppleTV unit. It's one or the other. If you pair one, the other becomes un-paired. So if your goal is to be able to have multiple remotes control the same AppleTV unit, my findings so far is that's not possible. NEGATIVE UPDATE: I have needed to move this review from 4 stars to 1 star! Sounds drastic, right? Here's why: The remote worked fine for weeks; including the voice control feature. It worked on every app I have, including Spectrum. When it was fully working, I changed channels using the URC1110's voice control with no problem. Then, about a week ago, that stopped. I press the voice control button, the voice-control icon appears on the TV, but when I speak a channel into the remote, NOTHING HAPPENS. I've taken all the suggested steps to fix this. I tried replacing the batteries. I tried re-pairing the device to my AppleTV. Nothing works. The problem persists. Although there are other things I can still do through voice control (like navigate to Netflix for example) I've lost control of this other very important aspect. If that's not enough, my biggest frustration is this: "One For All" seems to offer ***NO SUPPORT OTHER THAN LINKS TO THEIR PRODUCT MANUALS!!!*** In other words, there is no support email address nor is there a support chat capability (at least none I can find). The manual is NOT helping me deal with my issue, and I'm therefore stuck with nowhere to go. That is completely unacceptable. If I had known about their lack of support I would have never bought the product.

Paired up automatically and worked perfect, for about 33 days. Then dropped pairing, wouldn't re-pair even after replacing batteries. Lights went dim, flashed twice every time I put in batteries but wasn't working. Thought it was defective. And it was just outside the return window, great. I tried again to re-pair the remote and discovered you literally must get within 2 or 3 inches from the Apple TV 4k for it to re-pair correctly. Hold down the Menu button and Volume up (+) button together for several seconds. Finally it re-paired and is working again. Have no idea what caused it to lose pairing originally, the batteries were fine. Just beware.

The One From All has some problems that are characterize. When it sometimes the TV/AppleTV system locks up. To fix it, sometimes switching to the Apple gets it going and sometimes not. Sometimes switching to another brand remote fixes it, sometime not. Sometimes times switching the TV and AppleTV off and back on fixes it, sometimes not. If all that fails we disconnect power to everything, wait a minute, and reconnect. Sometimes even that doesn’t get the One For All working. In that case, using either the AppleTV or the other brand remote gets it working and, after that, the One For All starts working again. New batteries haven’t helped. It’s hard to characterize. The only sure fire way to avoid this lock up problem is to NOT using the One For All remote. Too bad, I really liked it.

Received the item looks like it was returned, put in brand new batteries, which I tested on another remote and wouldn’t even work. Returned it and ordered the same product yet it cost a few dollars more.

Comprato per mia madre che ha 2 condizionatori Idema, marca semi sconosciuta. Funziona perfettamente!, ha funzione caldo, freddo, ventilazione, deumidificaz, 3 velocità, controllo temperatura, timer, etc...insomma tutto quello che normalmente hanno i telecomandi x cdz. Visto che il primo telecomando funzionava bene, ho comprato il secondo x il secondo split e anche questo tutto ok!!!.

Diese Fernbedienung lässt sich so einfach bedienen, ich bin jedes mal begeistert. Ich hab nur die Batterien rein und schon ging alles ohne irgendwas einzustellen. Was mir auch sehr gut gefällt ist die Größe. Meine Original Fernbedienung von Mitsubishi war ein riesen Teil und kompliziert zum Bedienen. Ich habe mir gleich nach Erhalt eine zweite Fernbedienung gekauft für meine andere Klimaanlage. Toll beleuchtetes Display wenn es dunkel ist, das man natürlich separat einstellen kann. Nach Gebrauch geht das Licht von alleine wieder aus. Was mir außer der einfachen Bedienung gefällt ist der Timer und die verschiedenen Einstellungen. Da kann ich in Ruhe einschlafen, da ich weiß, das Klima Gerät läuft nicht die ganze Nacht durch. Für die sehr hochwertige Qualität echt ein super günstiger Preis. Für Leute die nichts kompliziertes möchten, empfehle ich die Fernbedienung.
