Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics - PlayStation PS4

This is a cool collection, although to be honest, I bought it mainly for MVC2, which I think is the best and coolest of all the games here! I got that game for PS2 years ago, but it's much more convenient for me to be able play it on the PS4! One not-so-cool thing about the PS2 version of this game was that most of the characters were locked on it to start with. Now, not only can I play the game on PS4, but I also don't have to unlock any of the MANY characters! (This game has by far the largest roster of all of the MVC/Marvel Super Heores/X-Men games here, which is one of the things that make it the best of those games!) It's kinda neat that the collection also includes the Punisher game, although it plays differently from the other games, being more of a Final Fight/Streets Of Rage-type game. I now own two of the three "Fighting Collections" that Capcom has put out for PS4 (I MAY get the other one at some point). I think it's cool that these collections were put out for the PS4, since I STILL haven't been able to upgrade to PS5! This particular collection seems to usually go for about 20 bucks (what I paid for it), which is awesome! In fact, for THAT price, I would have bought this release even if it had been JUST MVC2! Along with these collections, Capcom has re-released Capcom Vs. SNK Chaos (I think that's the name of it) for PS4. I also MAY get that one sometime, although I happen to know that at some point after the original arcade release of that game, a version with 12 additional characters (bringing the total count up from 24 to 36) was apparently released for the arcades. Unfortunately, I doubt Capcom will ever re-release that one, as I think it was a bootleg, and therefore not "official." I hope Capcom continues putting out these fighting-game collections/re-releases (either on PS4 or PS5 [I still plan to get one of those as soon as I can!] or both), and puts the Street Fighter EX games back out, especially SF EX3, which was originally for PS2 and is the best of those games! Heck, I'd love it if they put that one back out even if they didn't re-release the previous ones! (Although it does have some major flaws that I hope get fixed!)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This collection is pure nostalgia done right. Capcom nailed it with this one — all the legendary Marvel vs. Capcom titles are here in their original arcade glory, and they run beautifully. The gameplay feels smooth, the colors pop, and the soundtrack still hits like the ‘90s arcade days. Online play is solid, and the rollback netcode makes matches surprisingly stable. I also love the gallery mode and music player — it’s a great bonus for longtime fans. If you grew up playing X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, or the early MVC games, this is an easy buy. It captures everything that made those titles great without feeling dated. Only wish: a bit more bonus content or character artwork would’ve made it perfect. Still, for the price, it’s an absolute steal. Highly recommend to any fighting game or retro arcade fan!

Man, I have been waiting to grab this collection. When my uncle got me a ps3 in December 2012 and the first digital purchase I made was Marvel vs Capcom 2. I have that same ps3 today but, I don’t necessarily need to boot it up for that game anymore now!!! This is wonderful to have and I even gave the Punisher a try and had a good bit of fun! May have to buy a copy for Switch soon. If you see it on sale for $20, do not second guess. Grab this. Well worth it!

Awesome..brand new and fun

This collection has some of my favorite games of all time but with that said i cant give it 5 stars as i don't see why it cant have included MVC3 or the very bad MVCI also i will give them credit for updating and patching this in the game when they didnt need to. Still very much worth money for me

A super classic worth collecting

It's been a lot of fun getting back to these old classics. The game play is what you would expect. Bringing back old memories.
