my door got misaligned because my cats kept opening it from the bottom, so it would never lock properly. This is good if you have crazy pets or ppl who barge in without knocking. Only thing is that it's tedious to take on and off, and sometimes the little rubber part that touches the door falls off while I'm securing it. Slight inconvenience but otherwise pretty useful

behind closed doors is your business! This lock is ironically the key to privacy. Dont let its appearance intimidate you. This thing is very simple to install, just as easy to remove, and 100% effective at keeping people out of your area...even if they have a key. Its small and light weight making it easy to carry. Perfect for any situation where you want to keep people out. Examples...hotel housekeeping, roommates, landlord, friends, neighbors, fraternity bros, sorority sis, police (unless they have a search warrant), nosey people, in-laws, kids, and yes you too, parents. The list is endless. I have used this item for years now. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Works OK, if somebody really wants in, this is only going to slow them down, but that is a good thing allowing you time to call 911 or prepare to defend your family. Install is simple, adjustments are easy, may not fit all doors, but it is worth the money.

I never usually travel alone or I travel by myself to be with friends or family, so Ive never pulled the trigger to get one of these. I had to do a solo trip recently and I felt like I needed to grab one of these, better to have spent $10 and be extra safe then be sorry. I like this a lot because even if the hotel do has a latch or a "deadbolt", I have seen how people can get around them, even the lock, hotel have masterkeys. and this prevents anyone from getting in. ALSO I don't know why but a lot of public restrooms, even sketchy rest stops, dont have proper locks on the stall doors, or they are so busted up that you have to risk it and rush before anyone comes in, so the fact i can use this in my day to day life, to secure any restroom stall door. ALSO TO THE ALSO, I am always at bars and resturants the dont have hooks under the bars for your purse and i never want to put my bag on the floor or on the chair where i can't see if anyone takes it or goes through it so you can use this to clamp on to the bar put your straps on it! TOTALLY worth $10

I don't leave home without it! This has given me so much peace of mind when traveling. Im in hotels 2 weeks out of every month and had a few random people walk in my room while I was there due to front desk error. I now use this device at night and sleep very well. Its adjustable, made of strong metal and wont allow the door to open at all! The rubber cap ensures the door is not scratched. This device is very inexpensive and still worth every penny. If hotels make you nervous do yourself a favor and buy one of these.

Bought this to take on a solo trip. Had to explain a couple of times to airport security what it was but no problems. Can only be used on a door that has a slight gap between the door and the jamb, but works well in those circumstances. A little extra peace of mind! Lightweight and easy to pack.

This is not a dead bolt, this is not super secure. But it will stop your door from beings opened, where someone could just walk in on you due to a faulty door lock. Not very strong because it has to be able to fit between a door and door frame, but it is a nice little travel tool. May even work on public bathroom stalls! I would buy again even if I lost this one.

I like how easy this is to use. The only problem I may have is I only have a deadbolt and when this is installed in the striker I cannot lock the door. I am not sure if this is a problem or not. I will say the door feels very secure and I do feel safe using it.
