Of course, appropriately, it is a kit of sorts. A thick section of lime, two supporting lime sections, the keel holder affair in lime (tilia) and some clamps which don't seem to have any depth to them hold your wooden wonder firmly in place as you smear a tonne of wood filler over the old gunwales and planking ears. A trick here is to substitute these clamps with two third party quick release G clamps that will extend to a really decent depth. Additionally, spray the wood with some tough gloss protective varnish. It'll look nicer. Artesiana have disappeared from the marketplace so these are going to become very rare in due course. The alternatives are much more expensivo, Mantua, so take your pick wisely.

You need this stand if you’re building wooden model ships it hold it in place. Well you do you do stuff like planking stuff like that.

Fiddly to use and and secure. Stability is a bit of an issue.
