I bought this 28L version to replace a slightly smaller safe. This safe is well made for a domestic version and in the box you get robust wall/floor fittings and two emergency keys plus a clear user guide. Inside the safe there's a removable shelf and felt lining - this 28L version easily takes an A4/foolscap folder with room for passports etc. too. You do need 4AA cells which aren't supplied which are easily fitted and setting the combination is easy. Opening and closing the safe is quite straightforward and the emergency keys are a handy backup. If I had a minor gripe the keys could be a bit larger for my 92 year old Dad but they're adequate. Overall, another example of good quality/value from the Amazon Basics range and ideal for an average home to keep documents etc. secure.

Only complaint is about the delivery. As we were going away ina few days, I ordered this Amazon product using Amazon Prime, and then the fun started with emails saying it was delayed. I complained and it was cancelled and re-ordered by them with expedited delivery so it would (I was promised) definitely arrive the next day. Not according to the next email I received - it was now going to be delivered two days after the original one should have been! Arrived with the words "Security Safe" emblazoned on the package. Not the first problem, Prime is turning in to a bit of a joke. However, once it did arrive it is well made and easy to program. Plenty big enough for valuables, passports etc. Very pleased with it, excellent value for money

Excellent item. Not too heavy, plenty of room inside. Comes with 2 keys or you can easily programme the keypad to open the safe. Comes with 4 fitting bolts to secure the safe to a wall or to the ground. Requires 4 AA Batteries if you wish to use the Keypad.

Great for the money! Good size, easy to use and comes with everything you need to secure it to a wall. Will do the job as long as it's bolted to an external/solid wall with easy to program keypad. Only concern is how well the keypad holds up over time after entering the same code over and over but will see. Also nice having the backup keys and a hint for everyone loosing them if you get the right sized picture hook you can hide them behind a special picture (for me it's our wedding day) so you'll never forget!

Had for o er a year now , I like the two choices of opening , I have only used the key as this suits my needs I hold s all I need

Pretty decent,also key protection in case the batteries run out.The only issue was that when locked,there was still a small gap between the door and the frame so the door was a little flimsy but sorted with some double tape on the frame(like some draught tape spunge).For that i give 4 stars

It is a very basic safe. It can be used to keep things from people in the household (e.g. dangerous things from children). I doubt it has much value against break-ins. It is heavy but can still be carried away by an adult. Of course, it can be nailed to the wall but I am not handy enough to do that. My family members including myself have the habit of misplacing important documents, which is what I bought it for. In this sense, I use it as a storage cabinet. It is large enough to store a 15'' laptop (17'' might work too but one has to wriggle it a bit to put it in).

Was looking for a well built and light safe to keep some stuff in and was pleasantly surprised at how well made this safe is. It was exactly what I was looking for. Kinda reminds me of those little hotel room safes but more spacious. It has a passcode and comes with two keys that overrides the passcode. I suggest you hide the keys somewhere safe and well hidden. Great buy and great price.

I'm a middle senior citizen and my wife and i can easily each carry this unit. It is strong enough for us, and easily holds 8 1/2 × 11 or 11 x 14 folders. The 2nd shelf is a nice bonus to keep important files, "Jewelry" and passports seperate and safe all in one place should you choose.
