Tiparos Brand Fish Sauce
Tiparos Fish Sauce 300ml cost me £3.99 and I find it a solid staple for cooking. It has a strong salty, umami taste from anchovy, so you only need a small amount. I mainly use it in stir-fries and marinades and it blends in well without being too overpowering if used carefully. The bottle is simple and easy to pour. If you have Amazon Prime, delivery and returns are convenient, which is useful if you are trying it for the first time.

Very fishy.... and pricey but flavours ok!
Bought this fish sauce as during lockdown, (takeaways closed or just scared off ordering food in) I made all my own authentic oriental food at home. Because plenty of recipes call for fish sauce as a basic ingredient, and as I wasn't sure which to buy, took a chance on this one. The Tiparos Brand Fish Sauce has a very fishy smell, which can be off putting when adding to the wok ingredients, but on the plus it definitely gives a layer of flavour to the dishes so overall it was worth that initial semi unpleasantness.... On the negative, it was a little on the pricey side, but lots of ingredients were scandalous prices at the time so I would still possibly buy again.
