It was very easy to take out even though it was packaged very carefully with each ball in its own compartment and wrapped. It even came with an extra ball and string. Although it came with instructions, I was too excited to read, its easy enough that you can get it out and going without needing the instructions. I took my time and was careful not to twist or tangle anything. I don’t see this as a toy or something for small kids to play with as the strings are delicate and can get tangled if not treated with care. It looks good on my desk at work and from time to time I get it moving. It doesn’t last very long, but the sound is soothing. Spend the money and get it!
