Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’ve been using the E500 Larger Charcoal Chimney Starter for a week now, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. The chimney heats up the charcoal quickly and evenly, and the 60 starter pieces included make lighting a breeze. The size is great for larger grills, and it feels sturdy enough to last through regular use. Nothing fancy, but definitely gets the job done efficiently. A good addition to any grilling setup.

These are a good charcoal starter. They are easy to light and will help your charcoal light up. There is no smell or anything off putting. I have rarely had one of these work. I normally have to use two or risk the lighting of a chimney to take over 30 minutes. If they were longer, it would help (cover more briquettes when lighting). So I normally use two and at times, three.

These are must haves for starting charcoal in a chimney.
