Review: An excellent, comprehensive, well thought out analysis of Estate Planning..... - I was a little dubious when I saw the title, including the hyperbolic words: "The ONLY...Estate planning Book you'll need"., Further skeptical when the authors reveal that the Garrett Monroe is a pseudonym for a battery of experts. Well, lo and behold, this book comes through in a big way. You can tell that it was written with intelligence and forethought, as it approaches each facet of Estate Planning in a systematic and concise way. I was struck by how organized and easy to digest the material was. This is the first time I've been moved to write a review on desertcart, but I wanted to impart my enthusiasm after having finished the book. I highly recommend it, and you won't be disappointed.

An excellent overview of the main aspects of making wills and trusts
Looking to update my will, I thought to do some review and study first. This book has helped me to remember and expand my awareness of the key factors to consider in estate planning. I particularly liked the sections dealing with the following topics: what not to do; ways to legally avoid probate; options for digital back up; “do it yourself” dangers; where to find samples of types of wills; when and why to involve an estate lawyer; and having other backup storage options. This quick overview has been very helpful to me, from which I’ve gained new practical tips. Highly recommended!

This one is the best for me.
I am going though a major update and revision of my trust again to reflect changes in assets, retirement planning, and business succession. I have purchased several paperback and audio books on the subject just to keep me up to date on the many options as I meet with my advisors and legal team. This is the best I have acquired. I like the key takeaways at the end of each chapter that become bullett points for me to review. It is easy to read, understand, and seems to be comprehensive on a subject that can be diverse and complex.

Great book to summarize estate planning
Although I think this book is an EXCELLENT resource for understanding estate planning, I would not actually call this book the ONLY estate planning book you’ll ever need. Only because there is so much more to know about estate planning that is going to depend on your marital situation, if you have children, what assets you own, what state you live in, if you have businesses, etc. However, for a general reference on all things to do with Estate Planning, this is an excellent resource and I’ll be referring back to this book often as I am currently in the stages of planning my Will and Trusts.

It's. . . . . .fine.
Not sure I trust the independently published book written by team of experts under a pen name. In the mid-20s that sounds like it might "AI" generated text, but hopefully not. Obviously this is only for an overview and trained professionals should be a supplement. Book is repetitious and genericly written--potential signs of LLM generation. Lots of bulleted lists that read like wikipedia. Middle chapters are a bit more substantive. Explanations are clear though remain very general--which is fine if you're looking to get some general knowledge and familiarity with the ideas around estate planning. I feel prepared to now go talk to the actual experts and professionals that you need to put the actual plan in place.

Solid book - Like a thorough 101 Class
As headline suggestions, this is a solid book, like a well-taught 101 class in Estate Planning. It's a really good book to read if you (like me) were pretty unfamiliar with all things Estate Planning. It does leave you hankering for a bit more details at points, so while it is an introductory book and is an easy yet informative read, I'd disagree with the notion that it's the Only Estate Planning Book You'll Ever Need. On the contrary I'd have said "Read this Estate Planning Book First" would be more accurate. All in all, was helpful to have and develop whet my appetite to go further and learn more.

This book is an indispensable resource for anyone looking to secure their financial future and protect their loved ones. It breaks down complex estate planning processes into understandable and actionable steps. The inclusion of tax minimization strategies and detailed guides on living trusts are especially valuable. With practical tools and expert advice, it ensures a comprehensive approach to creating a lasting legacy. Highly recommended for its clarity and depth.

This book earnestly simplifies estate planning, with a user-friendly guide to creating living trusts, though sometimes the tone may overshadow the useful advice.

It’s supposed to be universally applicable, referring to “in your state” etc but is not great for UK readers as the terminology isn’t correct. Contains good ideas so 3 stars but for UK customers I would recommend Efficient Estate Planning by Matthew Smith, which I bought at the same time.
