Not worth the price
Do not buy this HDMI cable that will cost you 89.00 dollars when the actual item is less than 20.00 dollars. The seller is charging an exaggerated amount and doesn’t provide details as to what the extra charge is for. I am flagging this seller and will make sure to not buy anything from them. Please look for other sellers for the items you are looking for.

Good for screen mirroring with different resolutions
HDMI splitter works pretty good for taking a HDMI signal and splitting it to use two different useful resolutions. Kit comes with the converter, SPDIF cable, power supply and cable, and analog audio out cable. The box has fairly solid construction, but there is no way to mount it on the wall or in a cabinet. There are also various configurations where the analog sound output will not work. So just be aware depending on your setup you may need a SPDIF to analog converter. Just have the chart handy that is in the instructions so you can select different resolutions and audio modes. There is a slight delay when using the dip switches, and often the TV or monitors need a few seconds (or even a power cycle) before working. Its best to have in mind the inputs and outputs that you want and set the dip switches for those modes. Then if something does not work or look/sound correct, then modify the dip switches to get something similar. Overall it does work well and there are a lot of modes to choose from, depending on the TV/monitor and sound setup you want. Works very well for streaming captures to take a 4k output, and convert it to 1080 - or to just have a stable output (why is there no 2k though?).

It worked - but not for long
It worked as advertised out of the box, but after about 3 months, it started suffering video dropouts, which got worse to the point where I threw the item away and purchased a different brand

High end, 8K capable HDMI splitter
This is a high end (8K capable) HDMI splitter that lets you split a signal between multiple monitors or devices. Recommended.

Does not work well as an EDID Emulator
I wanted to use this for both the HDMI splitter function and also for the EDID emulation. My test setup included my laptop and 2 monitors, one that is 1080p and the other 2560x1440 but will accept and display 4K signals. My expectations for this device was that if powered on and a specific EDID was selected from the dip switches, it would provide that EDID to the PC regardless if there was a monitor attached or not. I was comparing this to a separate standalone EDID emulator which worked as expected including at 4K resolution. This device would not generate an EDID for my laptop unless a monitor is attached to the output. My standalone emulator worked as expected, emulating a monitor at the selected resolution as soon as it was connected. As far as I could tell, it seemed to work fine as a splitter at 1080p. It also passed the higher 2560x1440 resolution signal to the proper monitor. (This is an edited review based on further testing.)

Nice picture, quality materials, compact size
Nice picture, quality materials, compact size: This HDMI splitter provides a very sharp picture quality that has so far lived up the the 8K claims. The picture isn't diminished or glitchy when projecting on multiple screens, and doesn't have a weird color saturation to it that some other, less expensive splitters I've owned have had. For this type of product, I've found that you really do get what you pay for, and while ~$70 is in the mid-high range for a splitter like this, it's well worth the extra cost considering cheaper models often fail to live up to expectations or break relatively easily. The unit is also made with durable metal materials that not only help to keep it cool (since the metal acts as a passive cooling material), but makes it more physically durable in case you need to move it around often. The size of the unit is a bit larger than the most compact splitter I've owned, but still is small enough to keep in a busier area without taking up too much surface space. Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.

It took some playing around to get it working with the xbox series x and my 5.1 sound system. The splitter is working perfectly and I'm enjoying DTS sound when I'm gaming.

DO NOT BUY. Works for a few months and then the output video will drop out and back in. Other reviews have reported the same issue so this seems to be common. Unfortunately since it starts failing after a few months it will be past the return window, so don't bother even taking a chance on this device.

This is a fairly decent HDMI 2.1 1x2 splitter with EDID and audio extractor functions that takes 1 HDMI input and splits (aka mirrors or duplicates) them into (and up to) 2 different displays. This is NOT a HDMI switch and does NOT allow you switch from multiple inputs (i.e. not bidirectional). This ALSO does NOT extend your exiting setup (i.e. mirroring only) and does NOT allow you to have 2 monitors of different content. ≡ Physical build The physical build quality is fairly decent with some sort of metal shell (doesn't feel like aluminum alloy though) and 2 strips of silicone/rubber at the bottom, which is great because this is one of the very few that actually has an anti-skid pads amongst the several dozens of these HDMI/DP switches/splitters that I've come across. It has a power LED for all 3 HDMI ports (input/outputs) plus another one for power, which is decent because many others do NOT have LED for power at all; however, the placement of the SPDIF and 3.5mm ports aren't really the best for me and they should really be in the back in my mind. ≡ Setup/features There is nothing to setup (as they all are as a basic splitter) except to connect the input and the output along with power using the USB-C/A cable and the wall charger provided, which I do appreciate. In addition, it also supports audio extraction which is somewhat uncommon as such feature is often reserved for or associated with HDMI switches because it has 2 or more inputs for which the audio extraction might be useful. Nonetheless, it does have one should you have the need for it and it does support a reasonably wide range of options (see below). Lastly, it comes with a 3.5mm cable which is (again) uncommon and it can be powered by USB-C as aforementioned and I'd recommend using your own quality wall charger instead because the one provided isn't safety certified. Like many others this will downscale if needed; however, it will NOT change the refresh rate nor will it support mixed resolutions or refresh rates for the outputs so just keep that in mind. It does support just about all audio codes out there as they often do especially for those that support HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps). ≡ EDID Furthermore, EDID is supported and it can be set to automatically detection (default, via DIP switch, see below) or you can manually set it to one of the 21 available options. Note that since there are 5 toggles and that means it supports a maximum of 32 combinations; however, since only 22 are available, what that implies is that certain combinations aren't necessarily available such as 8K@60Hz/4:4:4 (or 4:2:2) with audio extraction (2/5.1/7.1ch), ≡ Specs * Resolution: up to 8K@60Hz** * HDCP 2.3 compliant * Compatible with HDMI 2.1, 2.0, 1.4, 1.3, 1.2, 1.1, 1.0 * Audio support: Dolby Atmos, DTS X, DTS-HD Master, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby AC3, DSD etc * EDID support: Auto + 7 groups (of 3 combos each) 1. Auto 2. 1080p (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) 3. 1080p 3D (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) 4. 4K@30Hz (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) 5. 4K@60Hz/4:2:0 (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) 6. 4K@60Hz (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) 7. 8K@30Hz/4K@120Hz (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) 8. 8K@60Hz/4:2:0 (2ch/5.1ch/7.1 ch) ** Note that the output resolution/refresh rate will drop to the lowest of the 2 outputs (if they are different) or you might get blank screen. ✔ As you can more easily see (I hope) from the above list, the EDID settings are categorized into multiple groups based on the resolutions/refresh rates and bandwidth required. I'm not sure who (besides me) still have/use 1080p 3D but that seems a bit redundant to me. You can also see that something critical is missing and that's of course 8K@60Hz/4:4:4 (or 4:2:2) in conjunction with either one of 2ch/5.1ch/7.1ch. I have several dozens of these HDMI/DP) switches and splitters and in comparison to most others of similar 'grade', the output quality, both video and audio, appear to be good for the most part without any flickering or noise present in the image and/or the sound coming out of the audio system. However, I do notice some slightly hue/color variations with HDR but that appears to be a common theme amongst many of these switches/splitter and the effects are for the most part minor so they don't really bother me but it's something to keep in mind I suppose. ≡ Value All things considered, this is a fairly decent HDMI 2.1 1x2 splitter (with EDID and audio extraction functions) that's well-constructed and works as expected without issues although improvements can certainly be made (i.e. a 2x2 would've been great). It's somewhat reasonably priced at $78 for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance.

This splitter does work, but has a huge caveat – it *only* uses its own custom EDID. It does not allow you to copy/clone the EDID from your displays. This causes problems with many devices, like PCs. I have tried the default "auto" EDID setting, as well as every single option in the instructions using the dip switches, but I constantly run into compatibility issues. When my 4K TVs are connected to this splitter, my PC only allows 30Hz, 100Hz and 120Hz as refresh rate options, even though my screens are both capable of 60Hz and 120Hz. If I select 120Hz, it automatically flips back to 30Hz. It just will not output a 4K 120Hz signal properly on any EDID setting. HDMI audio also doesn't work well. It's a pain to get audio working, and then it cuts out randomly and you have to turn the screen off and on again to get audio back. I have tried a different brand 4K HDMI splitter that clones your display's EDID and it works 100% flawlessly. I will be using that one instead. This one is being returned for a refund.

It is powerful enough to meet all my expectations. I use it with video capture cards and the results are impressive.
