Fantastic little amp with plenty of power

Well, done, Schiit! This is my first time purchasing your products-though I had previously heard them at CanJam-and immediately upon connecting the unit, I could tell quality was exceptional. What I appreciate most is that tour amplifier doesn't strip away the tube character of the signal coming from my tube preamp, instead it simply cleans it up and amplifies it. With the amp, the distinct 'tube sound" becomes even more audible. Bravo!

It can drive a set of DT990 really well but it flattens out the sound stage a bit. Really shines with something like the Audiotechnica ATH-AD series or anything that is super open back. For a desktop amplifier however it's awesome.

After watching bad advice on Youtube, I had been powering my DT 1990 Pro 250 ohm headphones from my interface headphone output (amplified) into another cheap headphone amp. I knew something was always off with the audio and started researching headphone amps. This one had the perfect amount of power, looks awesome and I was glad to see they had a cheaper / non-dac version as I only wanted to run a line level signal from my interface into it. I do wish this amp used TRS or TS 1/4 cables instead of RCA but I was able to find conversion cables on Amazon. I found the highest gain setting on these between 1/4 to 1/2 volume is PERFECT for driving these. Did some A/B testing and it makes such a difference. Everything is much more clear, punchy and crisp sounding now. Really happy with the sound and build quality.

Very good warm amp, goes very well with harsh bright headphones

Should be explicitly labeled as NO PHONO, HEADPHONE PREAMP ONLY, DOES NOT WORK WITH TURNTABLE+SPEAKERS ALONE. The name "Magni" is too close to the name of the product I should have actually bought ("Mani 2"), and the fact that the name and description say "preamp" leads to further confusion. I know I am not the only vinyl lover with limited technical knowledge who has made this mistake. I read the entire manual, and at no point did it suggest that I bought the wrong item. I was totally ready to hook it up to my turntable with no phono preamp in the signal chain until I incidentally found out elsewhere. Otherwise, because it's a dark grey/charcoal color, it doesn't match my black turntable. I haven't seen many grey/charcoal turntables, and they'd probably sell more units if they just made them black or other common colors. It looks fine for what it is, but I would not say it's sleekly designed. And it should at least come with an RCA cable. Overall not happy with this purchase even though I know it's a good choice for its intended use case and it's reasonably well-made and sturdy. None of my headphones require a preamp, so I'm only keeping this in case I ever want to listen to records through headphones, and it will probably turn out to be a waste of money.

Easily my favorite brand on the Market for Amps. Plug and Play setup no extra software. Works Excellent whether you are Gaming, listening to music, watching shows or doing video calls. This pushes my Behyrdynamic 250 OHM headphones with ease. Priced well for the quality. the small simplistic build makes it easy to mount under a desk or tucked into a small corner.
