Will the citric acid in the shampoo lighten my hair?

I have brown hair, and this shampoo did nothing to the color after 2 years of use. Hope this helps.

Does this have the infamous neem stink? i like neem, just hate the wretched disgusting smell. how bad is this shampoo?

I don't think it smells bad at all, smells more like herb/basil to me! Doesn't have a lot of lathering but it seems to have started to calm my psoriasis in conjunction with my diet!
