We've had the freezer for three months: Igloo 5.0 Cu Ft Upright Deep Freezer Chest. It's working well. We also bought 600 gram desiccant packs (five of them) and distributed them throughout the freezer. So far, no frost buildup. The temperature seems to stay steady. We keep all the extra items in there like nuts and sales on frozen things, so we are not constantly opening the freezer. We also bought freezer organizer baskets/bins. The ones we got fit well. We got the ANJUBAN Large Freezer Organizer Bins，Upgraded Bottom Leak-Proof net，which Fit 5 to 9 Cu Ft Chest Freezers - 5 pack. Having these baskets makes it so much easier to find items and organize items. You need the baskets, otherwise everything would be in one big pile. We did not use the basket that came with the freezer because these baskets work for the whole interior. The freezer does hold a lot.

I bought this based on size and product name (Igloo) reputation. It was easy to move with a second person. Well packaged for shipping and arrived upright. I plugged it in and let it come to temp overnight by choice. It was ready in an hour tho. I thought I'd have to place it in the basement or garage but the size fits perfect in my kitchen, yay! Slid right in between the buffet and counter. That's a standard Kitchen Aide mixer under the sunflowers cover on the counter for freezer size comparison.

Perfect basement freezer, super quiet and efficient… perfect for storing extra food . Setting up was under 15 minutes.

It's just been over a week since the freezer arrived and so far I've been satisfied. It arrived securely packaged - no dents or scratches. It was easy to set up - after removing packaging and tape plugged it in, set the temp on 4, and let it cool overnight before putting food in it. It fits nicely in my laundry room. It's functioning properly so I'm happy with it.

I mean, nothing is perfect, but this freezer has been (just added food to it) a nice replacement for our HUGE freezer from 1985! Kids are gone, and w/just the two of us we wanted more space and less electricity usage. It came w/a small dent on the side, but it's not really furniture...still...Anyway, so far, so good.

I bought this chest freezer so I could defrost my standup deep freezer. Cheaper than some of the larger camping chest coolers, it made sense to purchase this to unload my stand-up freezer into this and use an additional chest cooler to get the job done. It says it can get down to -10F, and it meets the specifications. I fired it up, and the next day I unloaded most of the deep freeze's contents into it and kept its temp. I can not move it standing up into my SUV, so taking it to a destination would require most people to have it lay on its side. I can power this on my external power pack or a standard American AC connection. I have seen these in a RV as well as parks that provide AC outlets in pavilions. I considered unplugging it after I was done, but it works great for putting hot foods into it before storing in the deep freeze or making ice packs. Also, I have it running in our garage, and the current garage temperature is 85-90F. It continues to work well. I doubt I will have to buy it again, but I would if needed.

I love it, just the right size for an apartment. It’s quiet!!!!! I just plugged it in, haven’t put any food in it, I’ll give an update in a few days. Overall I’m very happy with the freezer! Love the wheels!!!

I must admit we bought this mini freezer for our pups since we have 4 and they are all on the fresh food subscription. I spent hours and hours figuring out which freezer to buy. Finally settled on this Igloo. Then I held off hoping it would be discounted for a Prime Day deal or Black Friday... nope... never happened. So, for Christmas, I broke down and purchased. I was nervous because of the negative reviews about dents. Actually I was more than nervous. But, I took a chance and hoped I'd be one of the fortunate ones. Well, power of prayer... ours is perfect. It arrived very well packaged and insulated. The box was pristine, even thru all the handling in transit. We carefully unpacked it, and I was elated that it was also in perfect condition. Plugged it in and it started getting cold pretty quickly. I waited about 24 hours to put a few items to make sure the food would stay frozen because a few reviews mentioned issues with keeping food frozen and having to discard their food. We have it on setting 4 which is how it came and the food is perfectly frozen. It's much easier now to organize and store their food. Also, it is EXTREMELY quiet. It's in our kitchen, and the only time I hear a slight sound is when the compressor kicks in, but it doesn't run for long. And, it comes with wheels that are hidden, so it's a clean look and easy to move when cleaning the floor. This freezer is exactly as described. And, the best part is we get our freezer back so we can put food for us... haha. The only thing is I'm still trying to find freezer baskets that fit because the dimensions are a bit smaller than most baskets I'm finding... including Igloo. However, I'm very glad we made the investment, and our pups are too. They now stand at their freezer to tell me they are hungry. Haha!
