"My Knife"
I wondered what all the fuss was over Japanese kitchen knifes? Now that I have one I understand. Get sharp. Stay sharp. Slices so easily you can slice (not crush) tomatoes thin enough to see through. Set the blade and draw it through meat, vegetables, bread without pressure. With minimum pressure the blade doesn't skip or wander. A few passes with a steel each week and I have yet to even consider taking a stone to it. Wife and I both claim "My Knife"

Not bad. Def looks great and cuts as it should
Looks great and price is on par with the quality. Could be a little sharper but I can fix that with my sharpeners.

Excellent weight balance.
This is one of the nicest chef knives I've ever had. It's 7 in super Sharp and the weight balance on it is perfect as far as I'm concerned it's easy to hold it makes chopping a breeze. The design is really nice, and the high carbon stainless steel of which it's made let me know as long as you keep it clean after each use and use it in a proper way meaning cutting boards that this chef knife is going to last quite a while. I was simply amazed on how evenly it does cut and how easily it cuts I've already used it for some chopping of some vegetables and let me tell you night and day difference from using just a regular kitchen chopping knife that I have that came in a set compared to this one which makes it so much easier if you're chopping or anything you're using it for for that matter. The grip makes it easy to hold the weight balance is perfect it's got weight to it but it's balanced so well that you can shop quickly and smoothly without your hand getting tired for those of us that are a little older and have a little arthritis such as myself where my hand tends to get a little sore if I'm doing a lot of chopping. But I can honestly say not with this knife because of the way it's balanced with its weight and the way it's easy to grip and just the design and how sharp it is again it makes chopping a debris and I definitely recommend it.

Wow. I'm impressed. Third best knife in my house, best under $200.
Buying knives on Amazon has always been a disappointment, until this guy came along. I've been cooking for a very long time. I love to cook. I spend money on nice tools. I have some fairly expensive, impressive knives, my favorites being over $200. This is the third best knife in my house. That's not a bad thing at all. Out of the box, I could slice a tomato or onion so thin you could read through it. It's kept that edge longer than I'd expect; wearing only slightly faster than one of my Wusthof knives, which tend to be perfectly happy going a long time between sharpening or even honing. The metal actually seems pretty nice; it doesn't have that insanely satisfying movie sword "shing" noise that some of the best do when you slide them from a knife block or drag them along a honing steel, but it's pretty darn close, nothing at all like the dull clunk of your average Chicago Cutlery or cowbell tone of that Kitchenaid knife your mom got you 20 years ago for college. Oh, and it's heavy. In a good way. The handle has some serious heft to it, which makes the blade feel "lighter" and quicker to maneuver. For the price, I have absolutely no complaints about this knife, and plan on buying others from the same company and line next time I need a new sharp thing to play with. Probably a cleaver.

Strong and sharp!
I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the 7-inch Santoku knife from KEEMAKE. Not only is this knife incredibly sharp, but it's also a stunning piece to have in my kitchen. The 67-layers Damascus high carbon steel and super steel VG10 used in its construction ensure both durability and exceptional cutting performance. The hand-sharpened edge maintains its sharpness remarkably well, allowing for precise and effortless slicing every time. The 2.0mm thick blade is just perfect for achieving thin slices with ease. But it's not just the blade that impresses me – the handle is equally remarkable. The Glass Fiber G10 handle is not only comfortable to hold but also incredibly sturdy and lightweight. It fits my hand perfectly, reducing tension during extended use while providing an excellent grip. The craftsmanship of this knife is truly outstanding. The combination of hardness, toughness, and sharpness achieved through layers of forging and meticulous handwork is evident in every aspect of its design and performance. It's clear that this knife meets the highest standards expected by professional chefs. On top of all this, the customer service provided by KEEMAKE is exceptional. Knowing that I have their support, backed by a 100% service guarantee, gives me complete peace of mind. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This Santoku knife from KEEMAKE is not just a kitchen tool – it's a work of art that enhances my cooking experience every time I use it.

Well-balanced knife with hefty handle, super sharp blade
Many thanks to you, fellow slicer, as well as the seller for the chance to share my experience with KEEMAKE Damascus 7" Santoku Knife. First, let me make it clear that I am neither a metallurgist nor a bladesmith, so i can't verify the use of Damascus steel in this, 67 layers or otherwise. Regarding the VG 10 core, I have been told by far wiser wielders that it's the maker, not the steel, that really matters when it comes to edge retention and performance. This knife is made in China, and i know nothing whatsoever of the maker. What i can confirm is that straight from the box, the blade is razor sharp as expected, per my now hairless forearm. The balance point is centered at the pinch grip, and the fiberglass scales are heftier in the hand than I expected--not necessarily a bad thing, as it will comfortably fit a larger (i.e. an average man's) grip length and width. In due time, I will seek out my neighborhood professional to sharpen this along with my other knives. Should that visit garner interesting food for thought, that will be inserted here.

Great look quality and feel of this knife
The first thing you notice about this knife is the bubbly damascus pattern and the overall shine of the blade which seems brighter than other good quality kitchen knives I have had, it looks almost like it has a polish on it that others don't. On closer inspection it seemed like it had a long scratch on it, but whatever it was rubbed off. The handle has a pattern on it which seems natural other than the fact that it is pixellated when you look closely, though it still looks nice and not out of place, almost purposeful. What impressed me the most was how this feels in your hand, the handle has a subtle curve to it which fits your hand without advertizing to you that it's a curved handle, and the feel of the glass fiber is solid smooth perfection that also balances out the weight very well. The knife cuts smoothly and effortlessly. It comes with a thin clear plastic sheath to protect the knife blade, not the best protection but nice that you can still see the knife blade through the sheath. I'm very happy with this knife!

Love it
First off, I love this knife. I love the look of the 67-layer Damascus steel. The handle is so elegant and beautiful. The length of the blade makes this such a versatile knife to have in the kitchen. The blade is extremely sharp and has held an edge so far. The VG-10 steel feels of the same high quality as my German-made knife set from another brand. The surface of the blade is well patterned and enhanced with an acid dip. The glass fiber handle is light and sturdy and fits the hand comfortably with no slipping. This has quickly become my favorite knife in the kitchen. If I had a single complaint it would be that the pictures make the blade appear almost black, this is a standard mirror effect style blade. The layering of the steel in the creation process catches the light at various angles making that effect in the pictures. Overall, it will cut!
