Morrisons Cake Shop Raspberry Jam Doughnuts 5 Pack

These are a favourite in our household and different to most jam donuts as these have icing sugar coated over them, rather than granulated sugar. They are soft and delicious and have the right amount of jam inside. A great quality product.

These are by far, in my opinion, the best donuts money can buy. The dough is perfectly cooked (baked? Fried?) throughout, with a slightly crunchy outer. There's the perfect amount of jam, and it has the perfect amount of firmness. There's plenty of sugar all around the doughnut too. My only concern is they're so good that it would be easy to demolish a pack or two in a single sitting, and getting diabetes (but it would be worth it!). They also do a custard version, but I think they're an abomination of nature - like pineapple on a pizza.

Very fresh nice and tasty good size pack

I generally like doughnuts, but these are slightly doughy and the jam tastes less sharp than expected for raspberry. They appear to have a sugar coating in the product listing, but mine had none when delivered and tasted less appealing as a result. If you are wanting to eat a doughnut, you want it sugar coated ideally and with a good, tasty jam. They aren’t bad, just not quite as good as I had hoped.

Hard going. I am not a frequent doughnut buyer, but I do know what a good doughnut should be. The outside was damp and sparsely sugared. The dough was tough and unyielding. The jam was hardly worth the slog. The worse thing is that I have four more to deal with……ugh.
