I bought this lamp for a purely utilitarian reason - Vive Ultimate Trackers needed bright, even lighting around my room, and my nighttable lamp, wall spotlight, and ceiling fan didn't cut it. I'm usually wary of paying 3 figures for LED lamps as dubious quality LEDs can be used, we all know the corners cut in these devices. But this one worked beautifully. Installation was fairly quick and easy - screw in some metal plates between three metal tube structures, then slide the soft LED strip right in. Setup was fairly easy - I purchased Govee products before, so it automatically recognized the lamp without much hassle (I had to find the 2.4 Ghz password). The lamp has very even lighting up the strip, which goes to my chin. Casting against a wall corner brings soft, even light to the room. I was impressed by was the versatility. I expected a silly RGB panning thing, and there are features for that, but what I got was the ability to change brightness and color temperature! I made two nightlight presets, both 2700k, one at 5% for when I need to use the restroom, another at 1% when I'm just in bed and need a little light to see something close by. I've been frustrated with my lighting options for nightlights as I have particular sensitivies, but being able to dim the lamp that much and get nice lighting, and save those presets as a button in the app was an unexpected surprise! It's really hard to think of anything I don't like, here. Some of the motion can be a bit jittery. If you have an uneven floor, I don't think the lamp has any adjustments for the bottom feet. And it would be nice for 5ghz Wifi to be an option. Or, at this price, maybe even something remote. Otherwise the light is beautiful, the app works well, and I have no major complaints! It exceeded my expectations, which is very difficult to do. I will definitely be looking at more Govee products in the future.

I bought these for my husband's dj stand area. The lights themselves are a very good height and were fairly easy to assemble. We set them up facing the wall and adjusted the distance from the wall to the amount of light reflection we wanted. I think it's around 3 feet away. Provides a nice reflection that is not too washed out or too harsh and allows you to easily see the color changes and flows. The base also has lights in it to add to the ambience. Regarding the govee app, I was very impressed. I've tried several brands including smart life and hubspace for lights plus other apps for various smart home items. The govee app is very easy to add the light fixture to, it will find them pretty quickly. I had two of these lights and it found 1, I installed and it found the 2nd one and installed it quickly after. I can link the 2 of them together to sync to music or color themes or use them individually if I only want 1 on. There are a variety of fun color themes plus diy if you want to get creative and have the time or inclination. With all that fun, you can still do the basic whites, whether you prefer yellow-white, blue white, or any shade in between. You can also set these up on timers, to sunset/sunrise, etc. If you want them to turn on while you're on vacation. Plus you can set them up with other lights in the house that are compatible with the app. What's really nice is that even after you turn them off the lights will remember your last settings. I have since bought several more govee screw in bulbs, string lights, and led strips. My next goal is to get the new prism permanent outdoor lights they offer. I'll have to wait for a sale, because the govee lights are on the higher price side of leds but they aren't the most expensive out there. Overall you do get a lot of fun options for a higher price. If you only want simple white led lamps, this may not be for you. But if you want to level up on your unique lighting options, these lamps are a good option.

I like Govee products. I started with a patio light set I bought when I wanted something that could be universal for just regular lighting, but I could also make festive for very holidays and occasions and now it feels like half my house is Govee. I bought this lamp during a sale with another lamp (the three spotlight floor lamp) because I was wanting something for my home office and the intent was to try them both out and return the one I didn't pick. I like them both so I ended up keeping them both, but this one ended up in a different room. First impressions out of the box like with most other Govee products: the quality is there. It feels heavy and strudy and although the stick portion may seem like it might be fragile, it's not. It feels solid once it's together and all the screws are tightened up (hidden screws by the way which is a nice touch). Assembly took less than 10 minutes and I believe came with all the tools necessary -small screwdriver- though I don't remember exactly as I've also been known to ignore supplied tools and use my own. Light quality is good, even, no light or dark spots. My love of smart lights is the "set and forget" features so it ramps up usable brightness during sunset, adjusts to a nightlight mode after a certain time, turns off during the morning hours, that sort of thing. I'm still not entirely certain what the function of Matter is, but like with any other RGB product of theirs: the amount of customization is so expansive, I doubt I will ever use 10% of what this thing is capable of. The reasons it wasn't the choice of the two is first, it just didn't quite work in the space I had in the office. Space is tight in there and it would have been partially obscured by a bookshelf, whereas I could adjust the three spots to kind of work around the bookshelf. Second is entirely opinion: I'm just not a huge fan of its "modern" design. I could see how a pair of these would look excellent in like a home theater or something, but that wasn't the need here. However I did like it enough that I decided to keep it because I did find a space for it.

I really love this floor lamp. It is a little expensive, but I still think it is worth it for what it does. The lighting upgraded the feel of my room right away and made the whole space look much better. What I like most is the variety of lighting options. You can adjust it in different ways depending on the mood, and the smart home integration is really nice too. It works well with both Alexa and Apple HomeKit, which made it even more convenient for me. It is still much cheaper than the Philips option, so I think it gives really good value for the price. Overall, I’m very happy with it and think it performs really well.

La compré con descuento pero sin duda vale lo que cuesta. Tiene un control remoto con el que puedes regular la calidez de la luz y el color, las funciones del control son básicas pero sí te permiten crear un ambiente adecuado y de acuerdo a lo que a ti más te guste. Sugiero mucho que descargues la aplicación de Govee a tu celular porque te permite configurar mucho más la luz de la lámpara (colores, selección de luz ambiental con o sin sonido, personalizar la barra led por secciones o poner temporizador para que se apague de manera automática). Al ser una barra de luz led, es ideal que la coloques en una esquina o que la luz que emite rebote con la pared.
