Arrived over wound but with a bit of study managed to release the wire which was fiddly but doable. Important to fully read the instructions or suspect many would never be able to release the tension once used. I have already used it in combination with a similar rated tow rope and binder chain to drag a collapsed wire fence and posts back up a steep embankment. Although rated well beyond what needed I was concerned about anything snapping so used a snatch block which enabled me to stand off to the side whit used the winch. I fixed some orange ribbon round the cable so didn’t over fill the spool which I suspect is the big mistake to be made thinking more to go. Good value for money well made and solid if a little heavy out of need given the 5 ton rating. Remember safety first and only combine with straps / chains / Shackles rated to suit the task.

Works great so far, does all i need working in a woodland hauling trees of various sizes, the instructions are bare bones but sufficient, once you've used it a few times you see how it responds best to getting the cable out to length and also releasing the winch under load. Certainly feels and looks robustly built so hopefully will last a good while, great price also.

This just looks quality compared to the silver line one I had. Handle snapped on old one. I did the same job (remove tree stump) with this and it pulled it straight out. Used this along with pick axe and reciprocating saw to remove many more stumps. I paid forty pounds and it is excellent value.

First-Class manual winch. Without it, I would not have succeeded in winching a mature, heavy storm-felled conifer tree out of a deep pond single-handedly by myself. The Vevor 5 tonne winch is straightforward to use and the pulling strength is incredible. Try it out before using it for the task you intend so you're knowledgable of operating, especially releasing the strain and tension while using it. Strongly recommended. Very pleased.

This puller is another solid tool from Vevor. I grabbed it to pull small trees out in the back where space for the truck is limited. Whereas it's back breaking work by the nature of it, this tool is getting the job done, crank by crank. The compound pulley definitely provides some noticeable leverage, and the overall construction is beefy, simple, and thick. The cable could be a bit longer, I suppose, but that comes at the expense of bulk and weight, so I'm happy with how it's designed. The handle is a solid length, and plenty long enough to feel as though I'm maxing out my own potential within safe limits. The cable is flexible-enough to manipulate as well, and the locking mechanisms hold everything tightly in place under tension. I've had a slight issue with the release mechanism being a bit flimsy, but - once I get into a groove - everything seems to operate as intended. When everything is done, it stores cleanly on a big old nail in the shop. Nice and easy. For the price, build quality, and versatility, this is a solid tool.

Bon matériel, bien costaud (pour des costauds) utiliser pour déssoucher un arbre planté il e a plus de 20 ans et qui n’a pas résisté au froid hivernal et maintenant c’est la canicule en juin…. Certains disent qu’il n’y a pas de changement climatique ? Il n’a pas résisté non plus au Tire Fort !

Super Teil, Also ich hätte es nicht gedacht, aber 5 Tonnen sind für diese Winde kein Problem. Macht schon Laune damit zu arbeiten. Einzige was gewöhnungsbedürftig ist und Übung braucht, ist sas Lösen des Stahlseils. Aber das geht auch mit der Zeit. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.

Tire fort au top et à un prix très abordable. Même si le mode d'emploi est en anglais, si vous avez un peu de logique, vous comprendrez le fonctionnement. J'avais lu des commentaires qui précisaient qu'il faut utiliser un tournevis pour éviter des blessures aux doigts mais pas du tout nécessaire quand vous avez compris l'utilisation. Je l'ai utilisé durant 4 jours pour arracher des arbres, et ce tire fort a fait le job. Je le recommande sans souci
