Altruist Invisible Sunspray SPF50 - Duo pack ( 2x200 ml)

I've been using altruist products for years now. I have rosacea and melasma and I have tried every sunscreen out there (expensive to cheap) without the result I was hoping for. Then I tried the altruist products after seeing recommendations from influencers I trusted. I never went back. They are very rich in glycerin and so other than sun protection do wonders for the skin. The spray ones are great for all the times that using cream would not do (for example being in a very dusty or sandy environment). These items arrived exactly on time and in excellent condition as the transferring of sprays is quite tricky.

So below is a review I wrote a couple of years ago giving this spray 5 stars. However, unfortunately I have had to update my review because Altruist have changed the design of their bottles. The nozzle blocks within the first 5 seconds of use and the spray doesn’t come out. I found this out on a beach in Dubai in over 30 degree heat with a 6 and and 8 year old. You have to get a wet cloth of really rub at the nozzle for any of it to come out and when it does it is intermittently. The product development team should all be sacked for this. Did nobody think of even trying this out before you opted for these cheaper ones? It wasn’t just the one, we had 6 and all of them were the same. My sister has the same problem with hers. Here is my review from a couple of years ago… such a shame as this was the best sun protection spray I had found that didn’t contain any nasty chemicals. I've been spraying the SPF 50 mist on my two toddlers over the past few weeks and as long as you reapply it every couple of hours it works perfectly and they haven't burned at all in this recent hot spell. A few of us went to a cricket match at Old Trafford on Sunday and we were all day in the blazing sun without any shade. I applied the mist spray 3 times from 11am - 7pm as you could really feel the sun's heat on us (it was 30 degrees) and we all turned a nice Brown colour without any burning. My friend had skin cancer and has to be very careful. When she saw the spray the other day she said her dermatologist had highly recommended it to her. Plus it has no nasties like parabens and SLSs which is important to me as I don't use any chemicals at all in our home and all toiletries are natural. I found it really difficult to get natural sun protection but this brand is great. The mist is perfect for children and adults as you don't need to rub it in. Just be careful if there is any wind as it'll blow away in it and spray outside as with all mists as it can make wooden or marble floors slippery if you do it indoors. You don't really have to rub it in, just wait a few seconds and it disappears into your skin without being greasy. I'd really recommend it and is a great price as the usual branded mists are double this price unless on offer.

Brilliant product in both performance and useability. My son's fair skin burns easily and over the years It has been difficult to persuade him to wear sunscreen because so many are greasy or smell girly. Not only that, but many of the spray bottles are difficult to operate as they get slippy from the product after having to rub the cream in...and let's not even mention the fact that teenagers don't want to be seen dead with a bright, childish coloured bottle of anything. This spray has been accepted and taken out to gigs, college and girlfriend's home. I'm amazed. We've had some for a few weeks now and it has even been shared with his mates. Kudos to whoever chose the low key design. I am grateful. I have kidnapped the second bottle for myself as it is so good and also as it doesn't smell so I can use other perfumed products: definitely a bonus when at work, or anywhere else really. We have had extremely hot weather over the past two weeks and neither of us have burned even though normally I only have to be in the sun for 5 minutes for that to happen. I'm recommending it to everyone I know.

This was a repeat purchase for my Husband to use on his head/face. The first can I forced on him, stressing unsightly sun spots and the risk of skin cancer from having a bald unprotected head during the working week when a baseball cap can’t be worn with a suit. He reluctantly tried it, pretty soon loved it and added it to his morning beauty routine. It’s non-greasy and invisible so can be sprayed over the whole head right up and onto the hairline, prevents his head getting that baking hot feeling when walking between meetings and he no longer comes home with a red head, so it appears to do the job. I was pleased when he proactively asked me to order more. The first can worked perfectly. The second batch has a faulty spray, leaking some down the side of the nozzle, but it’s not significant enough to affect his opinion of the product, it’s now an indispensable daily staple.

Have brought this stuff for ages and really like it! It's supper easy to apply and doesn't leave your skin feeling oily. It doesn't make your eyes water when you put it on your face which most other ones do. Will buy forever.

A few years ago my review would have been a 5 star one! Wow what an incredible suncream and so easy to apply! Especially on children. However they sadly changed the bottles and the new spray tops are useless. After the first spray they stop working and the liquid leaks out when you press it. It’s happened with each of the new bottles I’ve bought. Complete waste of money now and left with bottles full that don’t work. The last time I emailed the company I got no reply. Very disappointing as it really was an incredible product before the packaging changed. I’d hoped they would go back to the tried and tested incredible one but I see they are still selling these unfit for purpose bottles instead.

I can't praise this product enough - the sunscreen is so excellent, it's not sticky, there is no hassle applying it. It sprays on and rubs in with ease, it works and it's so reasonably priced. However the spray nozzle is useless it just doesn't consistently work which means you are left shaking the can for ages to try and encourage it to work, rather than just spraying. I would love to buy this product again but need to know the packaging has been improved. Attempting to apply sunscreen to a child when they'd rather be running around on a beach is hard enough with having to make them wait while the temperamental spray decides if it's going to work. I should have returned the product because one can didn't spray from the outset, but instead I opted to persevere and have managed to use about half a can (with a lot of shouting and frustration)!

Una gran decepción... Desde el primer día sale mucho gas pero nada del protector solar. Al segundo día ya no hay gas en el pote y esta lleno del protector pero no sale. Tengo una amiga que también lo compro h que ha pasado lo mismo. NO LO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA.

Ofrece una buena protección, bada que envidiar a los protectores de farmacia que también uso (Isdin, Eucerin) . No graso. Se puede usar en la cara. Aplicación muy sencilla , con una bruma fina y agradable. Repetiré .

El producto es una maravilla. El problema lo tiene el envase. El pulverizador se obstruye en cuanto dejas de utilizarlo un día o se moja. Hay que destruirlo con una aguja, pero para eso tienes que romperlo y ya no vuelve a quedar igual que antes. Compraría una y 1000 veces este protector solar siempre y cuando le mejoren ese problema. Mientras tanto me tendré que cantar por otro, porque tirar botes enteros de producto me da dolor de alma

Muy buen producto, se reparte muy bien a través del aerosol y es muy muy eficaz. Las veces que lo hemos usado y expuesto al sol ha sido muy muy eficaz. Lo único que no me ha gustado es el tapón por donde sale el aerosol, en los dos botes se ha quedado inutilizado y el último lo voy a tener que tirar medio lleno porque no sale bien,es imposible suministrar el producto.
