Cheaper and cheerful.
I bought one of these 2 years ago and still use it for streaming TV. It has survived the ultimate test of actually being useful for something.

Wi-Fi on Ubuntu
If installing Ubuntu on the MELE PCG02 Pro - I found that the built-in Wi-Fi device only worked with the latest Ubuntu 24.04 version. I had issues trying to get the Wi-Fi device detected in both Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 either automatically, or manually with many failed attempts to download driver packages etc.

Do not buy
Product stinks of burnt plastic under heavy load, warranty is with some Chinese website that looks made by a child. I have lost my money and Amazon don't wanna know after 30 days.

Nice, solid piece of kit. Heavy; doesn't feel cheap. All of the HW chips work with Linux as advertised. Do follow the instructions - F4 at boot for the BIOS, "Advanced", and enable CSM. I also disabled secure boot when it couldn't find UEFI support during install, YMMV. It booted to an ArchBang USB stick and into the desktop. WiFi, audio, ethernet, USB, graphics - all work well under Arch. It's probably a little overpowered for what I'm using it for, but you get a lot for the money here and it's hard to put something together with WiFi, audio, and a case for much less, and this is much easier; having an x86 CPU is a bonus for package availability and not having to dig around in some outdated ARM repos. I'm extremely happy that all of the hardware is well supported under Linux. This is a good buy.

Espero que esta reseña ayude a alguien que esta buscando un dispositivo como este, conrespecto al envio fue en tiempo y forma y la caja muy acorde ccon lo que se compra; con respecto a los materiales del mini pc se ve muy bien y funciono correctamente sin problemas durante 1 año 5 meses. El problema fue que de un dia para otro el dispositivo no encendio y solo se queda con el foco rojo encendido pero no funciona; vi en otras reseñas que a muchos les a pasado lo mismo por lo que pienso que internamente tiene componentes de muy baja calidad que en cualquier momento fallaran. Si no quieres perder tu dinero en verdad no compres!!!

... also starten wir mit den Sachen, die gesagt sein sollten, bevor es Frust gibt. Ad eins: RAM und und HD Ausbau ist fest verdrahtet (steht genau genommen auch in Produkt-Details). Wer davon träumt: "ich kaufe den kleinsten und rüste auf.", sollte hier nach etwas anderem weiter suchen. Oder die passende RAM Ausbaustufe wählen und eine NVMe (volle Baulänge und kein M.2, wie in der Produktbeschreibung erwähnt) nachrüsten. Wer mit dem Anschluss einer USB-C PD Docking Station liebäugelt: geht, aber die beiden verbauten HDMI Ports haben Vorrang und der PD-USB Anschluss taugt nur für PD und sonst nichts. Der andere USB-C Anschluss kann genügend Leistung aufnehmen, um die kleine Box zu betreiben und USB, LAN und Sound via USB zu nutzen - DP oder HDMI extern habe ich nicht stabil bekommen - da bleiben nur die beiden on-box HDMI's - aber die tun es. Wer mit 128GB klarkommt, findet mit der vorhandenen eMMC ein ausreichend schelles Medium mit problemloser Windows und Linux-Installation (in meinem Fall Ubuntu Gnome, sehe ich aber mit anderen Distros auch keine Probleme). Wer nicht, hat einen NVMe Slot im Inneren - 4 Schrauben lösen, Boden abnehmen und einbauen, da bedarf es keiner großen Fähigkeiten. Im Aptio-UEFI BIOS (<DEL> key im POST) Startreihenfolge auf NVMe umstellen geht auch ohne großen Zauber. Ein gelungenes Produkt und wirklich flüsterleise und klein genug, um mit Klett-Strapsen direkt an einen Monitor verbaut zu werden. (s. Bild: Telefon ist ein Galaxy S5, das andere ein AA Akku zum Größenvergleich)

Great little mini pc. I use it for watching video files on my tv. I’ve had it for a few months and have no complaints.
