This book was very easy to follow along, Michelle explains everything from the most basic concepts to complex ones in a way anyone can understand no matter your scientific knowledge. The beautiful graphics in every single page are a plus and makes the reading experience a lot more clear, fun and less like reading a scientific journal.

This book is full of science. I am going to keep it But it has funny smell like new book paper smell & the print is way too small for me even with my glasses. 🤓 She really details every question you may have about skin, hair, products & development of products. I must admit I wish she recommended products as I have dry sensitive skin at 72 & am clueless about where to start with any products. We as consumers are faced with a Billion Dollar industry anything to have us buy their products. YouTube is full of “Influencers”. Reviews are full of “Vine Customer's” who almost never have negative comments. In the age of the internet everyone is exposed to people who look like they discovered the fountains of youth. The reality is that filters, dermatologists, plastic surgeons & Ozempic( a drug for Diabetes Type 2) created their perfection not some creams you apply. I am a RN as well so I do understand that. This book is big & full of valuable information. In this day with most people having little to no attention span I will say you need to devote time & attention to the material in the book. I would like more pictures too, who wouldn’t. I actually am looking forward to any other books Dr Wong writes & I am going to seek out her YouTube videos. The one I did see her husband gave a review too. It was cute.🥰

This book is great if you’re wanting to get into skincare. It is a little repetitive, but so much help! I read it in one day!

Don't you hate it when science textbooks use diagrams that look like they were made in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007? Or worse, they're so cluttered and poorly labeled, they become an illegible mess after photocopying? Not a problem here. It's a gorgeous book and full of so many interesting things I always wanted to know about skin and hair.

Love this book & love the creator! I watch her you tube videos every upload. She teaches real scientific knowledge and not fake stuff. She's amazing, this book is amazing. I've lent it to my daughter so she can learn more as well. I definitely learned a lot of beauty information that is helpful in my daily routines.

Amazing book!! I got it 2 hours ago and went through it so quickly! First, it is beautiful. The colors are great, the graphics are at the same time beautiful and so clear. The titles are explicits, explainations are easy to understand and clear. It is a masterpiece of science communication, making a very complexe scientific subject at the same time understandable and useful. I follow the author’s youtube page and enjoy so much having all the informations at the same place. Shoutout to Michelle Wong it is a great book.

Really interesting science, easy to understand, excellent diagrams. I watch Michelle's videos and subscribe to her newsletter, and she was the person who taught me everything I know (so far) about skincare. This book is definitely worth it and well written. It is very scientifically sound and doesn't cater towards "viral trends" or "social media misinformation". This teaches you what you need to know about ingredients and chemicals so you can make solid choices for yourself regarding products. Also, each section is only a page or two long, so you don't get overwhelmed, either.

Love the short easy read for basics know- how about every day products that we use and its applications and many more. I follow her channel on YouTube since couple of years. It has helped me to corporate a good understanding of science behind various skin care and beauty brands.
