Kagurabachi, Vol. 1

This manga pulled me in from the first chapter. The story is really engaging, and the characters are easy to connect with. Each one feels unique, and you can see them grow as the story goes on. The artwork is amazing too. The action scenes are clear and exciting, while the emotional moments are drawn in a way that really makes you feel them. I also like that the pacing isn’t too slow or too fast keeps you wanting to turn the page. If you’re looking for a manga that has a good mix of story, character development, and strong artwork, I highly recommend this one.

Kagurabachi is AWESOME!!! Takeru Hokazono was only 23 years old when he drew Vol.1!!! He's a great author to make such a compelling and engaging story, the drama, the dynamic paneling, the perspective art, the villains, the fast pace action, it just makes me eager to read week after week and see his growth as a mangaka! I’m glad I bought volume 1 of this story! We Love Kagurabachi from the United States!

This manga tells the story of a young man on a quest to recover his father’s stolen magical swords. The story is pretty simple to begin with but it’s still interesting. The artwork is pretty cool and the magical swords are interesting as well. I look forward to seeing how the story develops and what each sword’s magical abilities are.

Slow paced but the visuals are great

Refreshing story about a son trying to make his father proud and live up to the responsibilities bestowed upon him when his fathers swords are stolen…but they aren’t any ol swords they are the infamous WMD’s of this universes war. Known for killing many and in the wrong hands could be used for great evil. When they are stolen by a local gangster it’s up to the team to take them out and prevent their sale on the international black market.

I am prefacing this review by stating two known facts: Kagurabachi is Takeru Hokazono's first manga, ever, and Hokazono's literally like 23 years old. This series took the world by storm in 2023 when the main character, Chihiro Rokuhira, was first pictured holding a sword. Innocent, right? He became a meme, a meme so known that Hokazono and the previous editor of Weekly Shonen Jump acknowledged its popularity outside of Japan. A lot of people didn't read the series because it was memed; but everyone that decided to pick up this series was hooked instantly. Hokazono combines a modern battle shonen with the art of the sword, and it is FANTASTIC. The fights are fluid; the art, while rough (I mentioned at the start that Hokazono is a rookie mangaka) is growing in style; and the characters all have a found family dynamic. This is a truly fantastic manga, and it can only go up from here for Hokazono!

Ich fand den Auftakt cool und bin gespannt wie es weiter geht. Die nächsten zwei Bänder sind schon bestellt :D Von der Story her geht es in die Richtung "Vengeance-Story" in einem Mafia-Sorcerer-Katana Setup.
