I am very happy with my emergency whistle purchase. It is hefty, and appears to be well made. It is loud. The size, in my opinion, is perfect. I am enjoying how the brass is aging, with exposure to air and my handling of the surface. The engraving of the brand name (?) is not an issue to me - it is not very noticeable and I expect it will blend in with the texture of the brass in a very short time.

This is exactly what I was looking for. As a woman I want to be able to call attention to myself if I feel I am in any danger or hurt and need help. This could be used for hiking in case you get lost, or when walking alone in case you need help. It is loud enough that anyone nearby can hear you whistling. Its small enough to fit in a pocket or a purse. You can attach it to a key ring as well. The whistle is loud and carries quite a bit. I hope to never have a real use for this, but I feel a bit safer with it on me in certain situations. While small it is still easy to use. You don't need too much air to get a good whistle. But if you blow harder you get a louder sound. Its small size is comfortable to carry around and use. The cost for the whistle is reasonable as well.

Not the loudest whistle, I purchased this whistle for my sister as she hikes and rides her bike a lot , and realized I have a loaded whistle made by Avon . And I keep that one for my mom . It’s a nice looking whistle , easy to use .

Loud and sturdy. Don’t test it indoors without earplugs. Excellent addition for outdoor trekking or for any emergency situations.

Can be heard at least 500m away through thick bush

The ring dropped out at the top. Can be easily reclamped tight. Love that it's brass. I have a thing for whistles :) handy on your keyring for possible emergency situations .

If you need a brass whistle then this wont disappoint. It is quite small however perfect for my model steam engine.

Super tiny but so loud! Piercing really. My dog can’t pretend she didn’t hear this one. Does not come with a lanyard.
