I'm not going to completely give away my secret use for this syrup. But I will say it turns one ordinary white cocktail into an amazingly refreshing cocktail. 😉🍹

This is a unique syrup flavor with a consistency similar to shaved ice syrups. I feel like the flavor description is accurate, with an emphasis on the fig, and I think people with an interest in a unique flavor with those attributes will be pleased. For my tastes, I prefer this as an addition to a tea or something else I’m preparing rather than a standalone. That said, I tried it in some rather muted tea and enjoyed the way it added to the flavors.The presentation and quality of the syrup are high, and the servings are a decent size considering the estimate of 25 servings per bottle. Overall, I am happy with this product, even though I’m not sure it’s one I like enough to order again in the future.

I bought this because my mom loves ube latte that a local coffee shop makes. They use a taro powder for flavoring and it hits the spot and tastes just like Filipino ube aka taro. This syrup absolutely does not taste like taro. It doesn’t taste bad, it’s just not what I expected especially with a big purple yam on the label in the front of the bottle.I can’t pinpoint exactly what it tastes like since I haven’t had it by itself. It made my latte sweeter though.

If you’re looking for an ube syrup that tastes anything like ube, keep looking! I attempted to use this for an ube latte the other morning and had to dump it out after a smell/taste test. It does not have that semi-sweet nutty, vanilla flavor profile you would expect with ube. Rather, it tastes almost like synthetic coconut? The smell is also very unpleasant. Sad to waste such a big bottle, but it is quite literally unusable
