I bought this case as for a home NAS and Plex server. Honestly this is a pretty great case! Cons: The metal is a little thin and sharp in areas. But over all nothing that I haven't seen before in lower price point cases. Pros: I mean where to start, for the price this case is really a great case! Perfect for a sever or NAS. "Officially" it holds 12 3.5 drives, and 2 2.5 drives. Unofficially (with the help of a 3D printer) you can easily fit a LOT more 2.5 drives in and up to 4 more 3.5 drives. It has lots of room for a large power supply, full size ATX motherboard, as well as a full size graphics card. The fans it comes with are nice and quiet and move plenty of air. It looks really good for a case you're probably going to hind in a closet or under a desk. It has a great front panel. It's SUPER easy to build in, and has lots of area for cable management. It comes with more than enough hardware and screws. This is the PERFECT case for a budget server build that looks like you spent a lot more on it then you did. Honestly Darkrock keep up that great work!

Huge, well constructed easy to build at a great price.
This case has all the bells and whistles at an unbelievable price. I'm building some mass storage file servers to divorce myself from expensive cloud storage. For the price of a single years online storage I have 2 servers using older drives I had laying around. This enables having two copies in case one server or drive fails by using simply robocopy commands or even the free backup software that comes with Windows. Either way is free and allow piece of mind that I won't loose my files and save some money as well. The case will fit as many hard drives as I can imagine anyone could ever want as well as other powerful gaming components with little drought that anything you want to add to your system will fit.

Great storage case, minor flaws
This thing is huge! It's pretty good, I was not able to find very many options for storage focused PC cases outside of a prebuilt NAS or actual server. Very easy to build into, lots of space, good cable management, pre installed fans with a triple splitter, room for a 360 radiator. PSU area has plenty of space for when you realize you *did* actually need that second PCIe mod cable but everything else is already installed... Couple issues worth noting, it is designed for 3.5" drives only, you cannot install 2.5" in those 10x bays. There are holes drilled in the top of each bay that will hold 5x drives, but they are too far from the edge for cables to fit. There are 2.5" carriages behind and under the motherboard if you only need a few. Also the vertical PCI slot blanks don't fit over the top horizontal slot screw and I had to remove it.

A highly versitile case great for using as a storage server.
The Darkrock Classico is an amazing case. I was not expecting much from a lessor known brand but I was pleasantly surprised by it's build quality. No sharp edges anywhere and the side panels come off with ease. I went with the Max version due to it being 1 inch larger in depth as I was concerened my Epyc CPU cooloer would have been to large for the regular version. I think I could have gotten away getting the smaller one but getting the Max gave me more peace of mind. The amount of storage this case holds is insane. I currently have six spinning rust HDD, two on the bottom, not seen from the front and four on top. I still have space for four more HDD and even two more SSD on the back. I'm using this case for my Proxmox server with a Supermicro H12SSL-i ATX motherboard. The case itself is not heavy which is great as adding all my components increase the overall weight a bit. Airflow and temps are reasonable with 3 120mm fans in the front and top of the case and a single 140mm in the back. Overal all I am quite happy with the case, it's size and it's overall functionality.

Great Chassis - Great Price
This case provides everything I was looking for, especially at this price point. I'm coming from a smaller NAS enclosure that became very crowded and restricted airflow. This chassis offers plenty of space for cable management and can hold up to 10 (possibly even 11) hard drives if you place one on top of the bottom drive. I currently have 6 HDDs and 1 SSD installed, and there's still plenty of room to grow. With seven fans running, the temperatures for each drive and the processor stay around 30°C, which is impressive. This is my first time building inside a tower-style case, and the experience was much easier than working with smaller cube-style NAS enclosures. The build quality feels durable, and while I don't have much to compare it to, I'm genuinely happy with it. If you're looking for a chassis that can hold several drives and still maintain great airflow, this is a solid choice. I'm fairly new to building PCs and servers, but after a year of learning, I can confidently say I wish I had started with this unit from the beginning.

Unsatisfied
Positive: Spacious box. Superb airflow. Great combination of external I/O accesses. Magnetic air filtering fine mesh on top. There are 4 cages in the main space and 1 cage in the bottom space for 2 HDDs (3.5") each. The design makes it very easy to insert or replace HDDs. This design for HDD locations was the main think that made made me buy this case. The claim is that these 5 cages would hold up to 10 HDDs. But in fact it would be only up to 9 HDDs - see the reason in the "negatives" section. But even 9 spaces for 3.5" HDDs is plenty for my purposes. There are also 2 spaces for small SSDs on the back of the frame. Negative: Metal of the case and of the bolts is soft. motherboard connection posts are slightly bended and bolts are not fit at the beginning. I had to strengthen these posts and it was easy to do with the thumb. If a bolt is used, then taken off, the thread is damaged and I can not use this bolt again. Good think is that they included much more motherboard bolts than needed Side panels are held by 2 convenient knobs each, but the threads on these knobs are also soft and has a visible ware after 4 - 5 openings and closing these panels There are 4 cages for 2 HDDs per cage in the main space of the box. The claim is that you can fit up to 8 HDDs there. But in fact you would not be able to attach SATA and power cables to the lowest one of these 8 HDDs. Frame would be in your way. So, it is only up to 7 HDDs in those 4 cages.

Extremely satisfied.
WOW! absolutely pleased with this case. At first I was looking for something more budget friendly for me but I pulled the trigger on this one because of the features listed, particularly expandability and vertical PCI card support. I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed. the amount of drives you can put in this thing is insane, very thoughtful design, cable and drives can actually breath. Comes with 3 fans on front, one at the back and mesh ventilation on top.. The Absolute NAS chassis. I fitted my mATX x9scl board and I couldn't be happier for the future. Definitely recommend if you have a server or if you are thinking of building a workstation. Cable management option is great with room for the cables when you close the panel, and I was very surprised when I plugged in this thing, the silence was sweet. Also, the cage design for the drives is amazing, very compartmentalized, sturdy, makes sense. The drives stay secure and its actually very satisfying to add or remove them.. In a very odd way to me Lol.

It's cheap but it works.
It's cheap so it wouldn't be fair to compare this to major brands. It has lot of room for storage which is great for a home NAS. The last case I was using was recycled and I had to throw the drives loose where I could. Checking prices for NAS purposed cases I was a bit surprised how much more they cost. The trade off is something that doesn't feel very strong but unless you plan to move it around a lot, kick it, punch, eat on it, or take it on dates then it should be fine. The most odd design choice I felt was the drive bays. I thought they would be something you can just slide your drives into but nope. The top half of each drive pays I think you can, but the bottom half you cannot without having to remove the four screws and pull it out and install them from the other end. Probably could have been solved with a Drimel but I just didn't want to clean up metal shavings that day. The back panel was a pain to get it since it's not really a latch and clamp. It basically needs to be slid in nearly flat which could be fun if you have enough cables there to push against it. But it's cheap, and for my purposes, worth the money when you compare it to other options out there that I saw.

Hard drive bays awkward
Mostly everything about this case is pretty good, it's well ventilated and having the HDD connectors pointing to the rear eliminates cable clutter over the motherboard. The only downside is that, because there are no supplied HDD cradles, each bay has to be unscrewed before HDDs can be secured in place with screws, and of course you have to then screw the bay back in place. Additionally there are a couple of bars across the cage in two places, which makes connecting fiddly. But all up a decent case with lots of HDD capacity.

Works
Works fine, lots of HD space but it could be designed so the drives go in the other way so it's easier to remove. Also not a ton of space for the power/sata cables on right side of the case. it could be offset another 1/2 inch to make things easier.

Awesome, great storage server chassis!
This is fab. The delivery took a long time but they made up for it. Cable management is good, lots of places to put them and tie them too. I think it looks great, the big grills give loads of space for airflow. The temps are down about 20c from my last case on the cpu and 10c on the drives. (Storage server). Great value for money at £70, I bought it at £123 and even then I think it is still fab. 12 drives for that little money is great. I do wonder if it really will be able to fit 12x 3.5" drives as one of the bays looks like it might be a tight fit if all the front bays are installed. Unfortunately I have not tried it. It probably is possible to just push the front bay up a bit to put the drive in. Just worth knowing it would need to be a thinner 3.5" drive instead of of one of the thicker style. It also does have 2x 2.5" drive bays aswell. Edit: Just read the listing and they updated it from 12HDDs to 13 drives. That includes ssds. I agree that all the drives will fit how they have specified. My case came with 2 hdd mounts for on the inside underneath the motherboard and just under the big stack of drives. (not in the basement part though). The drive under the mobo fits fine but the one under the stack of drives won't fit unless you have a very thin 3.5" drive (none of mine have fitted so far). This being said, I have now got 14 drives in my case. 12 HDDs and 2 SSDs, the 2 ssds are on the back of the mobo. The hdds are in all their designated slots and one is under the mobo in the little tray it came with. I managed to put 2 screws into a drive above the 2 near the psu (where it says to put an SSD, you are able to put both, only 2 screws for the HDD but I think it should be fine as it isn't going to be shaking around and it is flat anyway so I doubt it will move. Still a fantastic case, I'm going to order some 140mm fans for the front so that they all get a bit more airflow as they idled around 30-35c with 10 drives but now I've added the extra 4 hdds I suspect it might get a little toasty. I also want to test how much of a difference 140mm fans make. I would still highly recommend this case, it is nice to build in as well as easy. Feels high quality. Would buy again. (Shouldn't as I don't need another NAS however, this one is now full😂😂) Excuse the dust in the photos, the server has been built for quite a while now.
