I have never taken collagen supplements before so I don't have anything to compare it to, however, I think I hit the jackpot on the first try. There is very little if any flavor so I use it in my morning apple cider vinegar drink or my herbal tea and it doesn't change the taste at all. That's a real plus since I have very finicky taste buds and struggle to drink things that taste 'off'. My nails have always been strong but I was shedding a lot of hair and I've noticed in the month that I've been taking the collagen diligently, that the shedding has become more normal and my nails are even better than they were before; stronger and smoother. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the reason I started taking this supplement at all was because of my knee. I had made an appointment to see the orthopedic surgeon to check my knee out before I left on an international vacation. Well, it's a 2 month wait to see him so I ordered the collagen supplement and started taking it a few days later. Ha! My knee feels great and I wonder if I should cancel the appointment. My knee was NOT terrible so don't think it will cure a really bad joint but it did ache when I rode my bike or sat without stretching it out for long. My point is that it most likely will help your joints but don't count on a cure. I will stick with this product for as long as I can.

I have been using Biooptimal for nearly five weeks now. My nails are stronger and grow quickly (have to file every 3-4 days to keep them at a manageable level), my eyelashes are thicker and longer, my skin is more hydrated, and my hair is growing faster. I have also noticed less pain in my joints. I bought it primarily to see if it would help the integrity of my hair, such as making it thicker and stronger, but it is really too soon to tell. I'd need to give the product 3-6 months before making that judgment. One downside to the product is collagen peptides tend to lower tryptophan which is a precursor to serotonin. So if you have problems with your serotonin, it will drop it lower, meaning it might affect your mood. Good solutions to increase serotonin naturally, if the product makes you feel wonky, are golden paste (made from organic turmeric, organic coconut oil, black pepper, and water to make the curcumin more bioavailable) or a good quality fish oil. They also help reduce inflammation. Just be careful if you are already on an SSRI or an SSNI, because it could increase your serotonin too much and could cause serotonin syndrome. And golden paste doesn't mix well with some types of NSAIDs like Meloxicam. As for the taste, it is ok. I just mix it in hot water. It dissolves well. I would recommend this product, although I am considering buying a different one that has more than just type I and type III collagen peptides.

This product is amazing. After only three weeks I noticed my hair was regrowing! I always had a full head of hair, and over the last 6 months I noticed it was falling out a lot--collecting in the shower drain, collecting in the sink when I combed it, etc. Well, it stopped falling out and now my hair is getting full again. Also, my nails have been cracking and peeling for years, and now they are long and hard. And the collagen powder really does dissolve completely and does nothing to alter the flavor of your drink. I put a scoop in my coffee every morning. This brand was the least expensive I could find, so don't fall into the trap of thinking that something is better just because it is more expensive. This collagen is type 1 and 3. I am going to see if they also sell type 2 as it is for your bones and connective tissue. I highly recommend BioOptimal and this product. And, by the way, I'm 75 years old, so if this was good for me and you're younger, it's going to do wonders for you!

I believe it has helped prevent more wrinkling in my face. Very easy to put in my coffee every morning. Does not affect the taste at all.

This was a favorite of mine until the past year or so - it used to instantly dissolve in my morning coffee but the formula must have changed or something because it clumps significantly and is difficult to get fully dissolved in any liquids anymore.

This BioOptimal Collagen Peptide powder really works. I’ve noticed a lot of little things changing for the better. It may not be noticeable for 2 weeks, but this is a fabulous supplement that I highly recommend. I also highly recommend this honorable Seller.
