More characters more fun. I enjoy that we’re getting some more sci-fi, but in this volume the story feels like it’s going at breakneck speed but nothing really serious is happening. Obviously, everything is building up to something new and revealing. I just wanted more content and build up. These chapters feel shorter and shorter. That could be me just enjoying it though. Glad I already have the next book.

A Series That Never Disappoints
Volume 9 was another masterpiece and proved once again that Dandadan never disappoints. Every single volume feels fresh, exciting, emotional, and completely unpredictable. I honestly do not know how Yukinobu Tatsu keeps creating such incredible chapters consistently. The art in this volume was absolutely insane. Some of the double-page spreads were so detailed that I had to pause and admire them before continuing. The supernatural action scenes are among the best I have ever seen in manga. Everything feels dynamic and full of energy. The character designs also continue to impress me so much. What really stood out to me in this volume was how emotional some scenes became. Dandadan does an amazing job making you laugh, feel tense, and even emotional all within the same chapter. The balance between comedy and serious storytelling is perfect. I also really love the relationships between the characters because they feel believable and fun. The physical manga itself feels very high quality and looks incredible in my collection. This series has become one of the highlights of my bookshelf, and I genuinely look forward to every new release. Volume 9 was fantastic from beginning to end and is an easy 10/10 for me.
