Very difficult and complex to install.

Nice replacement part to make your headphones look new again. Don't buy this if you are NOT trying to take the whole headphones apart and do some soldering because that's what you're going to have to do to put this on. But once you do then they look good as new again.

First of all, it does fit the headband of a HDJ-X5 (HDJ-X7 and HDJ-X10 share the same hardware). In terms of material quality I would say it's not that different from the original (faux leather is always bad in terms of longevity). There are some esthetical differences, as the lettering on top is no longer embossed but rather silk screen printed. Beware that it does not come with any instructions, the delivery is literally only a bag with the replacement headband cover inside. You will need to desolder the wire that runs through the headband on one of it's ends (for me the left side speaker housing is preferrable). So if you are not a DIY'er, handy with a screwdriver and a soldering iron, I suggest you look for other options. If you are, then from what I could find, this is the option that will bring the end result as closest to the factory original.

Not as advertised. It did not fit in the Headphones it says it works with, nor did it come with instructions on how to install. From my perspective it was a useless product. I ended up purchasing another product that was easy to install and works fine… and included instructions... For less.

If you have a soldering iron and are brave enough to take on this project the DO IT ! I was skeptical and hesitant but ordered and got to work, video note so you can reverse engineer and you to can get the amazing results I got.
