PRO Voice - Bluetooth Wireless Headphones with Amazon Alexa Voice Recognition Technology, Black

I have used the BTS Pro (previous model) for 2 years now. Unfortunately, my girlfriend also loved these headphones and essentially stole mine :) I bought the PRO Voice and was hoping they would be as good as the prior model (BTS Pro). To my shock, they are even BETTER. I use the Pro Voice in the gym almost daily and for running (I run for 50-80 minutes) and sometimes just for phone calls or walking around town. These are the most OUTSTANDING headphones I have ever used. I do not like in-ear bud type headphones. They are not hygienic, can cause hearing loss due to forming a seal inside the ear canal, and I find them very uncomfortable. These headphones are over the ear, use a very soft and comfortable memory foam, and, yet, they stay very easily in place even when sprinting or exercising very hard. They are sweat proof, have amazing range, and really excellent sound. They are very high quality and only use Vegan materials. I listen to rap, r&b, and pop, as well as alternative/new age and the sound quality is fabulous. In fact, the MAJOR difference between the Pro Voice and the BTS Pro is the incredible sound quality. The Pro Voice sound like $300 headphones. Call quality is also excellent. Lastly, one AMAZING feature of this phone is the battery life. These last for 40 hours consistently. I use them everyday in the gym and only need to charge them once a week. I need to charge my stupid iPod Touch much more frequently. They pair easily with both my iPod Touch and my Samsung S8. I LOVE these headphones. For $100 bucks, the value is out of this world. The carrying case is also super convenient. Well done Audio 66 - you have a customer for life!! UPDATE: Had an issue with these headphones and 66Audio sent me a new pair. The new pair work perfectly. Their customer service is as good as their products!!

You would think that the price that you pay for these that they would last a good long time. The sound is awesome and connects easily except with my laptop. I haven't used Alexa. The app is cool because you can add an equalizer to them and bass boost! The only thing about the app that I don't like is the battery info. I charge my headphones to 100% and the app says 80% full and goes down faster than what the battery info in the notifications says which is 100% when charged and the app says 80%. The battery info is the same on any of the devices that I use which is my phone and iPod touch. I mostly use it with my iPod. They say everything is updated with the app and the headphones but it still has the wrong info displayed. Only after about 2 months of use the volume button pretty much breaks. I like to use the buttons because the ipod is in my pocket and sometimes the volume button on the ipod gets pressed when my phone gets put back in my pocket by the ipod so I have to adjust the volume. The volume button still works but it's not easy to use. You have to really press hard to use which starts to hurt your ear. Update 9/20/19 It has been 3 months since I got these and now the ear pad is coming off! For how much you pay for these, you would think that they would last a lot longer than this. First the volume button pretty much breaks and now the ear pad is coming off. I've had cheaper ones last a long time even though the quality of sound was not as good as these are. These were great for the bass and eq setting that you could set. Also the amount of music time is really awesome and charging time wasn't bad either. I like the behind the neck style but they need to work on quality of the device too so that they last a lot longer. I'm going back to over the head headphones. They are a bit bulky but hopefully last longer. DON'T BUY THESE!! NOT WORTH IT FOR THE PRICE

I have the previous version of these headphones, the BTS Pro, and I really love it. So when I thought I'd lost it (for a little while, it was in my wife's car, my fault), I decided to get the same set of headphones. However, I was surprised they had a newer model. I couldn't care less about the Amazon - Alexa option, but I may decide to give it a try someday, but I haven't yet. From what I've read, it's not that big a deal. I've head the headphones for a month now, here's what I think so far. First of all, I like them a lot, so much so I decided to keep them after I found my BTS Pro headphones. Having another set doesn't seem like a bad idea anyway. I love the fit. They're very comfortable on head. I can use them for several hours before I start to feel discomfort my ears, then I just take them off, rub the tops of my ears for a few seconds, then I'm good for another hour or so. The Bluetooth connection is very strong and I get better distance with these then any other headphones I've ever tried. I usually have them connected to my iPod Classic (using a small Bluetooth transmitter) and I can leave it on my desk and go all around my office without losing a connection, which is very convenient at the end of the day, when I'm by myself moving files and going to different stations in my office. And finally, the sound is great. For it's size, I can't believe how good the sound is. I'm not an audiophile, but to my untrained ear these headphones sound as good as ones that could be much more expensive. Also, it's nice they're in Blue now. Now for the not so good and why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I have a lot of trouble connecting them to different devices. Strangely, they pair with my iPod Classic super easy, but my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S7), when I connect them, I'm only conneccted for phone calls. I've found if I turn the headphones off then on again, or try using the app (after turning on the Bluetooth on my phone, don't leave your Bluetooth on all the time, folks), then it'll connect for both calls and "media", but it's very hit and miss and usually takes several tries. Also, my older iPad (I'm not an Apple Junkie, I just have the iPod Classic and 2 iPads), when I tried to connect it, device said I the headphones were connected, but it wasn't. I didn't feel like fooling with it then so I just used my old BTS Pro headphones. Also, zero noise canceling. I wasn't expecting it, so I'm not bothered by it. But if you want noise canceling, you're not going to get it with these headphones. Lastly, it takes a long, long time to get a full charge. This doesn't bother me very much, since I have the old headphones and I usually charge them overnight anyway, but it's odd to me that the newer headphones take so long to charge. When I first got them I believe I charged them from 10 to 12 hours before the light indicator changed color, letting me know they were fully charged. There you have it, if you want some good headphones and your noggin' is shaped like mine, you should enjoy these. Just don't expect perfection. More thoughs: It's been another month and I thought add to my review. First off, they're just as hard to pair as when I first got them. My old bluetooth transmitter for my iPod classic died so I got a new one, (different MFG), and it took nearly 2 hours of trying before I could finally make a connecction. The headphones seemed to want to connect with every other device in my apartment building rather then the Bluetooth dongle I had pressing against the headphones. Finally, walked across the street, into the park, far away from everyone and everything, only then was I able to connect the headphones. :::sigh::: But once that connection was made, it usually goes without a hitch. Unlike my phone. Still. I was hoping at somepoint my phone would connect completly with the headphones with just one swipe, but that's still not happening. Battery life is very good. I've let it go for over a week (at times) and they haven't run out of juice on me yet. So while the charging time is long, the playing time is long as well. I've tried the Alexa option on the headphones and like most people have said, it's pretty much usless. It doesn't even answer questions about the weather. My 4 star review stands, if the MFG fixed the connectivity problems, I'd have it at 5.

When my Motorola S305 finally died, the search began for another behind the neck style headphone. I've tried quite a few different ones and found the sound on the BTS Pro to be exceptional. The iOS Motion Control app lets you set equalizer settings that are extremely effective. The headphone will also remember the last used EQ settings. There are preset EQ adjustments or you can create and save your own. The volume is loud enough for me on the treadmill. For comparison they don't get as loud as Beats Solo 3. On the downside, this headphone has battery issues just as others have mentioned. The iOS app never shows a full charge, which is not a huge deal, except that it also starts reporting low battery before it really is. The headphone itself has LEDs to show you that is charging. During the charge cycle it will be red. It is supposed to turn blue when it is fully charged, but it never does. You can leave it overnight and the LED remains red. If I pull out the charger wire, and reinsert it, it suddenly realizes, oh I'm fully charged and turns blue. Customer service is very spotty on replies (if you get one). If you can overlook the battery oddities and less than stellar customer service, I do recommend the BTS Pro. Update 2-28-2. Not sure I’d this company is still around. The iOS app for these headphones is long gone from the App Store so I stopped using these headphones.

I have been using these now for the better part of two years now and I absolutely love them. Battery life is great even after two years. I used to have an old pair of Dell wrap headphones that I used for years until they died in 2017. I tried numerous replacements from a variety of companies, and none lived up to the standard of what I was used to, that is until I got my 66 Audio PRO Voice. I use these headphones for up to 5 hours a day (5 days a week) with both Netflix/Youtube on the train for two hours and music at the Gym and walking to work. Watching a lot of Movies from my iphone to and from work a big issue for me was Bluetooth Video Audio Delay. A lot of the other headphones I have tried suffered terribly and videos where unwatchable. I don’t have that issue with the Pro Voice. It took a lot of failed purchases to find a headset that didn’t suffer this problem. As stated, earlier battery life is excellent. So good it causes problems, in that you become complacent about charging them. My old headphones I would have to charge daily, so it become habit. These last for so long you forget to do so until they run out. They do have battery status indicator go through to the iphone at least to let you know battery level. Build quality wise the headphones have held up well. I had a slight issue with the one of the ear cushion when I first got them. I got onto 66 Audio and they replaced them quickly, (To Australia) without cost. Two years and a lot of hours of use later I have split one of the ear cushions (which are easily replaceable) at the edge. I have just contacted their support again about getting replacement cushions, and once again they where a pleasure to deal with. Overall I highly recommend these headphones if you are after a good set of wrap headphones.

I bought these headphones around this time last year, so they're about a year old now. Anyone who's considering these is probably looking at the touted built-in Alexa Voice recognition tech as the main draw for them. On paper, it sounds like a nice novelty to have......being able to call on Alexa whenever you want using your voice and having Alexa respond to commands and queries right on your headphones......kind of like wearing a pair of mini Echo dots on your head. Or so I thought. Well, the first thing to understand is that is the "Alexa" you get here isn't like the one on a home echo device. This is more like her mentally-challenged sister with the same name who's really slow, doesn't hear so good and can't do as much of the same things. Many features one would expect an Alexa device to have are just completely missing here. You can't set alarms, make lists or create/add to schedules. Some smart home devices won't work, some do, but the response time is often slow and inconsistent enough to make it pointless. To date, the only device in my home I've had any measure of success controlling with these headphones is my Xbox and telling it to turn off and on. Most glaring and bewildering of all, though, is it can't place phone calls from voice commands. Seriously..........What use did the people who designed this thing think their customers were going to have for putting Alexa on board a BT headset that's directly paired to their phone when it can't even place a call for them?? Even plain regular old BT headphones can do that through Google. And, funnily enough, Google is actually available as an option to use in their MotionControl companion app, but the option to select it in the app is disabled if you use this Alexa-infused model of their headset with it. In this, and many other ways, the inclusion of Alexa here is more of a detriment and an annoyance than it is a benefit. I've lost count of how many times I've had the headphones on listening to music or audio (or even just sitting idle on my neck) only to have it randomly interrupt what I'm doing and blurt out a reply because it mistakenly "thought" someone said "Alexa". This would routinely force me to go into the MotionControl app to disable Alexa, but it's always a temporary fix as it just turns itself right back on again as soon as the headphones are turned off and then on and pairs to the phone again. And the app messes up audio focus on my phone so much that, half the time, when I switch to using other audio devices, I won't get sound from them because MotionControl has bullied its way to being the default audio focus for bluetooth and won't send audio to anything else but the headset. In *those* cases, I'm forced to go in my phone's settings and disable the app entirely. Putting all that aside, the headphones themselves are actually fairly decent. They're durable, sturdy, water resistant. They have a really powerful sound quality and tremendous battery life. I can go a whole day with them on with between intermittent to prolonged use and still end the day at home with more than half the batter left. Unfortunately, the foam ear padding just started coming apart on both sides 2 month ago. They're (apparently) easily replaceable (we'll see), but I still expect more from a $80 pair of headphones after less than a year of using them. Come on. I'm pretty sure, at this point, they're not even bothering to support this model or add any of the features it's sorely lacking anymore (I remember an article where they mentioned features like asking Alexa to place a call were coming in an update, but it never came). If you're looking for a decent sounding headset with a long battery life, I'd say get the one of their non-Alexa version........only, for how shoddy they are, even (especially) without the useless Alexa feature on them, they're charging way too much for those versions too. So don't bother.

WOW, what an UNBELIEVABLE value! I just received the new iPhone XS Max, and I wanted to upgrade my headset etc... I needed the device to also accept and place calls, but audio and functionality were important. I use Audible a great deal daily, and Amazon Alexa devices to read my books and get my daily personal development. This headset works wonderfully with my Alexa Audible! It interfaces easily with my iTunes and especially Amazon music. I even worked out for an hour on the treadmill this AM, wearing them while watching a NetFlix movie on an iPad. I wanted to feel how well they worked with a lot of sweat. Very comfortable and easy to use with great sound. No uncomfortable earplug style headsets. I love the visual of the remaining battery life in the MotionControl app. I travel a great deal, and if I were getting nit picky, the only thing I would change might be an audio output optional cord I could plug into the phone, so if the battery ever ran out I could still make calls and listen to audio, until I had time to recharge them. It does have a GREAT battery meter, and the battery life appears to be unbelievable at 40 hours, but I am only a day in to truly comment on that. In short I love them! They easily transfer back and forth between my iPhone & iPad. In the past other products with Bluetooth get hung up easily between multiple devices, however these are seem less and easy!

I have gone through multiple generations of 66 Audio headsets. I love them because of the great sound and cannot do earbuds, plus they have behind the head setup so I can wear ball caps and other hats, as much as I want without having to adjust the headphones under or over the hat. With previous models I have had, customer service has been great and replaced a set that was not staying connected, so I when I dropped a previous and they stopped working properly (they would cut out moving my head or even leaning forward, but they did not do that before I dropped them, so it was not a product defect). I opted for these headphones as they were cheaper than the previous Pro. I have not used the Alexa feature, though I could. The sound is great and I had to actually check, at first that the headphones were on and it was not coming directly from my phone, but alas, they were from the headphones, really enjoyed the update in sound compared to my previous model. The only thing a bit disappointing, so far, is the battery life. They quote ~40 hours of use, but after nearly a week, I am lucky to get 15-16 hours before headset says it's down to 10% from 100%. I will charge them fully this weekend and update my review to see if they might be defective or if it is something else. Edit: Reached out to 66 Audio, as I have had great CS with them in the past, this time they recommended updating my firmware on my headset. I did that and the charging light usually turns blue when 100%, but over the last 2 days, while it is plugged in it turns blue, then back to red, after a few hours, then eventually back to blue. Plus, since the firmware update, I get even less use time, between charges. I now get 10-12 hours, over 2 days instead of the 40+ they advertise. The Alexa feature is sketchy, at best. It beeps, then doesn't really do anything, other than turn my home lights on before I get home, most of the time. I also get a weird static pop when I am listening to music, which causes the music to randomly cutout/stop while listening. And so far, they are UNUSABLE for handsfree. My previous 2 models, were great for hands free, but when I used them this week, the person kept complaining that they could not hear me, even though I was indoors and it was quite in the office I was in. Disappointed, to say the least :( Edit2: Have used my replacement headset for about 2 weeks and I must say, I think I want my old headset back. The battery life is an about 6-8 hours of use with Alexa disabled, there is no volume max beep like on the original and the max sound is much lower than the previous generation. Edit3 June 16, 2019: I am about to give up and wish I could find the original model of the 66 Audio. With that headset, it just worked. I got 3-4 solid days of use, now I get, with the replacement, and everything disabled, I get 6-10 HOURS of use, not 40 HOURS, like the advertising says. Also, I finally got around to attempting to pairing with multiple devices, but this model does not let me be paired to my phone and desktop, at the same time. If I disconnect one, or the other, then the opposite connects without fail! Extremely disappointed in this product :(

Plenty of grunt. I had a pair of these headphones that lasted about 4 years of pretty frequent gym use. These new ones are a much better build quality and maybe the sound is marginally better. Love them.

My previous pair of the original type were great for travel, exercise and hiking. Such good sound for the size and they fit under helmets, rain hoods etc. Lost in Nepal lol. These are better again but mid 2021 I broke off one side after only a few uses. Just fell off in my hand, all three screws broken. Figured they must have gotten bumped randomly. Put aside, assumed my fault. Finally decided to glue them recently and boom! Working great. Used them every day for bike commuting. So good. I tended to leave them on for a while once home because the sound is not vastly inferior to my regular cans. But two weeks later the other side broke off as I took them off! Same thing... all three screws broken. I'm careful with stuff and this time I knew for sure it wasn't me. Reglued and working great but the mic is dead. Can't recommend these sadly.
