UPDATE 8/18/24- The last picture is after watering 2 times and then last night, we had a thunder/lightning storm with torrential rain for over an hour. Today, we had another brief storm with hail and rain. As you can see by the picture, the paint has held up extremely well and the grass still looks lush and green. Get this paint! It works!! Original review - Since our city is under watering restrictions, I can only water the lawn Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. We've had some very hot days and much to my dismay, my lawn was getting brown. I had tried a different brand of lawn paint and it didn't look good (almost a neon green and some parts of grass were a weird light green) and I could tell that it wasn't good for the grass. I did some more research and ordered PetraMax max strength grass paint. Unfortunately, I don't have a battery pump sprayer, so I mixed up the paint and put it in a hand held trigger spray bottle. That took a very long time to complete my entire lawn but for me it was worth it. This paint blends so nicely with the grass. Even up close with the sun on it, it looks real and not fake. I did order a battery pump sprayer and will go over the lawn again. (Lol) It dried very quickly and when I ran my hand over the grass, there wasn't any transfer of paint to my hand. I did wear disposable gloves and even though I did not get any paint on me, it would be good to wear old clothes and shoes. It does wash off your skin very easily though. Mix it up in a place where you don't mind if it drips. I used a cardboard box to set everything in. I watered my lawn the next morning and the paint didn't run off or fade. Hoping for it to last a few weeks or longer. If you're looking for a realistic looking lawn paint, this is the one to get!

Purchased last minute before an event because it got super hot after we took our sprinklers down and it killed our grass. Worked very well! Had a nice natural green color. It took quite a bit but we were not diluting it the way the package said. Be careful not to walk in it, I did track a little by accident right after application but didn’t notice any coming off the following day. Wish I’d saved a photo of the before and after but this was a true life saver. The grass still looks healthy. Product arrived safely and bagged each time, no leaks. Be sure to get a good sprayer!

It’s Summertime and we have water restrictions where I live. I let the lawn get brown and needed something to make it look halfway decent while waiting for the rain to come back and to get back on a watering schedule. I’ve added before and after photos of my lawn for the before and after. I added 12 oz to 1.5 gallons of water because I wasn’t sure how “green” it would look. I think I’ll go with 12 oz to 1 gallon next time when I re-apply. It took about 1.5 gallons to cover my ~20ft x 20ft lawn, so consider this if you order. I used a hand-pump 2-gallon multi-purpose sprayer to spread the paint. It was less than $20 for the sprayer, I don’t think you need one of those $100+ battery sprayers unless you plan on covering a much larger area. I had to stop and “re-pump” a couple times to cover ~20ft x 20ft. Overall I’d give it 4.25/5 stars. It does the job. My lawn doesn’t look so bad now and Ill reapply as needed and follow-up with any significant changes.

We moved into a house recently, well be redoing the backyard in a year or so. But in the meantime, the lawn goes totally dormant in the winter. Like totally brown, no hint of green at all on most of it. I thought I’d give this paint a try, hopefully make it a little more pleasant to look at all winter. I was very pleasantly surprised! It made what essentially looked like a dirt lot into something that looks like a lawn. These pictures aren’t great, it makes it look a little streaky, but when it dried that went away completely. It looks totally natural. No, my application doesn’t look like a fully beautiful, thick lush green lawn. But, I was starting from completely brown, very patchy grass. Also I only did one coat, not too heavy (a second coat would make it much darker). How long it will last, I’ll see. If I can get a couple months, I’ll be very pleased and reapply it. Obviously, you have to have some grass to paint. It does nothing to dirt. I note it is a water based paint, so cleanup is easy. It might stain clothes (idk), but you don’t need to wear gloves, it cleans up with soap and water. My only gripe is it’s a bit expensive. No horribly so, but would be nice if it were a little less. But that’s not a major complaint, I’m happy so far even at the price. I’ll update in a couple months.
