Works great - only one complaint
Does great to run Thermaltake Riing Plus RGB Fans and AIOs. Every set of 3 'devices' has its own PWM hookup, so you can control the fan speeds using several fan headers on the motherboard. You do lose individual RGB lighting control, as the entire unit hooks into a single digital LED header on the motherboard. However, if you would have all of your RGB lights following the same pattern, or 'synching', this shouldn't be a problem at all. My one complaint is the connector used to connect to the LED header on the motherboard. It does not seat itself securely like other connectors I've used. It just slides onto the pins, and can easily slide back off. Since I was trying to manage my wiring, this did cause some problems with the connector sliding off just because I was moving the cable around. I did try gently spreading the pins, but either it didn't seem to help or I was too scared to really bend the pins. Once everything is set, however, and you don't move things anymore, it works great. I did have a missing cable on arrival. Called Thermaltake USA support, and they sent out the missing cable immediately and without any hassle, so I feel the support response was great.

Integrates with existing RGB system in machine to reduce software overhead
This is a great device. I'm using it on my MSI Prestiege X570 Creation board on a jrainbow port. It works like a charm requiring only the wire that comes with the device to be plugged into the device and the header on the motherboard plus one sata connection for power. It does not require power. The only limitation is that it all is treated as one zone of LED so everything is the same color. If you are using these for fans it also has connections for PWM fan control which is huge. I didn't need this aspect of the device because I'm using it for the RGB in the Thermaltake RGB fittings for water cooling so I cannot comment on how well PWM works but it is there. I wish that this device had a magnetic back instead of requiring velcro. It's minor so I didn't ding a star for the omission but my Corsair Commander Core XT devices in the machine are magnetic and it makes them easier to work with. Hopefully one day a future revision of this will have the feature too.

Hub RGB cable is unworkable
We are kind of stuck with this hub when using Thremaltake fans and thier 9-pin connector. The hub works but thr connection are terrible. For the pmw signal they use a 2mm connection at the hub.Meaning they will not use standard pc cables. Now thier supplied proprietary PWM cable 2mm at the hub and normal 2.54mm at the motherboard plugs into a motherboard headers fine. But it is very stiff and hard to route. The supplied RGB cable is basically useless. Again with a proprietary 2mm 3pin connector at the hub. It has an incredibly loose connection to motherboard RGB headers. Instead of a 2.54mm connector the use a 3mm connector at the motherboard end of the cable. It provides an impossibly loose connection. This is the case on each of the three hubs I ordered. I had to cut off thier connector and replace it. Very small connector to replace. If you are stuck with Thermaltake ARGB 9-pin fans the It is really your only option. It is too bad because it is such an obviously correctsble error.

Good but...
I like the gadget because I can connect many fans of Thermaltake, but it cannot be used with the Thermaltake software, that's a negative point since it does not detect it, it shows the error "Code: H_0x0001". The device works very well with the board's RGB system.

The jRainbow connector sucks.
I bought the Thermaltake TT Sync SATA Powered 9 Port Addressable LED Controller premium edition, I thought it would work for my TT 140 case fans as well as my radiator fans, but it does not. I just have a larger box now, that takes up a SATA port instead of usb 2.0 port (which I like). However, the jRainbow connector does not stay attached. Every time I move my Computer, it falls off, it does not clamp in there or have any resistance to falling out. It is horrible, and the connectors for my case fans, which are also made by Thermaltake have different connectors, so it was almost pointless for me to buy this as an upgrade... the other fans have to be controlled via buttons on their own connector. Now I need to find out if the cable is just defective, or if I need to find a replacement made by another company.

This is to have up to 9 items running off of one header on motherboard. Works perfectly fine.
This worked great! I didn't have enough ports to control the fans I wanted. Plugs right in to the RGB header and works perfectly with the Asus Aura. Only thing is, it doesnt recognize fans in BIOS so there is no curve control or RPM. Even with all fans running at full on there is still no noise issue to ruin this product.

A replacement controller that works.
Bought this controller for the Riing plus fans and controller set previously purchased. The controller that came with the fans only allowed power to pass through, so the fans would spin, but no lights and no control could be had. The Riing plus app. did not work and would not "find" the controller. The Thermaltake TT Premium Edition LED Controller got the fans to work as they should. (A sale by design?) For power I had to get an adapter cable to connect the SATA to my 4 pin molex. The three pin connector plugged into the 5 volt port on the MB, ( Gigabyte Z390 Ultra) The fans plugged into the hub. kicked the power back on and I had fans with the lights! Down loaded the Gigabyte Fusion app. and control was mine. So far all is well. If a change should occur I will edit this post and share the info.

Thermaltake RGB Plus Nightmare
The problem with this product and all the thermaltake tt rgb plus eco system products is that they are a nightmare to set up and get working. I'm several thousand in and I'm an experienced pc builder but I still can't get them to work properly whether I use Thermaltake's own software or the recommended motherboard rgb software suite. I have stalked relentlessly Thermaltake, Gigabyte and Asus forums and the problems with their stuff are well known, there are a lot of frustrated people out there. Don't go down this rabbit hole, I have lost days of my life trying to make pretty colors on an otherwise very functional rig. Danger turnaround.

Compatibility
I knew this controller wouldn't allow use of the thermaltake software, relying on your motherboard control, but it does work and fan curves can be set in bios. I just wish my original controller hadn't broken but it does an adequate job and all 4 of my ringtrio fans are now helping cool my power hungry beast!

Great product to sync up your fan colors with your ...
Great product to sync up your fan colors with your motherboard and other Addressable RGB components. ONLY WORKS with 5V-Data-Ground headers which are digital and addressable. Gigabyte VDG is also supported. There are 9 ports for thermaltake RGB Riing Plus fans. The product works great. Just confirm your setup is compatible (WS2812B addressable RGB LED strip (5V/Data/GND))
