This was a great advent calendar! I got this for my daughter because I usually get the Trader Joe's chocolate one but all the stores were sold out this year so I ordered this one instead. This one is so much better! Although the price is higher, we'll be getting this one next year as well. The chocolate was good and I liked that it was individually wrapped. That way my daughter could open it and choose to eat it right then or save it for later. She also enjoyed the pictures on the foil wrappers. While many of the shapes and designs did repeat, I felt like there was a nice variety of shapes to keep it fun. My daughter is 5 and she found it very exciting. We certainly prefer it to the toy advent calendars which create a lot of little things that we don't necessarily want to have around the house. For the quality and the assortment of shapes, I definitely feel like this was worth it and we will be getting another next year!

I genuinely expected small pieces of crappy chocolate that had bloomed (turned white because the cocoa butter in the chocolate had come out of temper. Still edible and tastes the same, just doesn't look great.) But no, these are nice sized pieces of great tasting chocolates. The shapes are simple: squares, Santas, balls. They are wrapped in cheerful colorful foil. Each advent has the same shape each day but the foil wrapping has been different. You may not experience your advents the same as mine. If I were required to complain about something it would be that sometimes the chocolates are wedged very tightly into their little cubbyhole and we have had to resort to using a chopstick to unwedge them. But it is quite the minor issue. We have loved opening these advents each day and look forward to that piece of lovely, smooth, delightful piece of chocolate each day! Definitely going to be buying these again next year!
