Is the taste similar to goya sofrito. i use it in my cuban recipes. don’t want msg.

Matiz Sofrito is made from an authentic Spanish family recipe, so it will go great in other Latin food including Cuban recipes. It has the simplest of ingredients of just Tomatoes, Cane Sugar, Olive Oil, Onion, Garlic and Salt and especially NO MSG unlike other Sofrito competitors like Goya. I don't know the best way to describe the difference between the two other than saying you can't go wrong with Matiz Sofrito, but the best way is by trying it out!

Does this contain any MSG ?

Since it IS made in Spain, you can rest assured that ALL ingredients are listed on the label required in all EU countries.

Will not comsume is 7 days. Will it keep longer in fridge once opened?

Well not sure, but I hope so... my partially used opened jar has been in the fridge for about 2 months. Maybe I should check it?

Does anyone know if there is any fish or animal extracts in the ingredients?

The label says the ingredients are tomatoes, virgin olive oil,, salt, sugar and garlic. I think it's delicious.

The product tastes great. It's a tad on the "wet" side, but if you cook it down for a few minutes before stirring in the paella rice you'll likely have good results. I also found that this product isn't overly salty, which leaves room for additional seasoning (or not) at the end of the cooking process.

$30 wasted. Not returnable: perishable item. Bad news: lid seal didn't hold, lid was cracked open product leaked out. Good news: bubble wrap and tape around the jar didn't leak, keeping my other items in the box free of contamination.
