the text is clear
This translation came recommended by friends who know about such things. I was pleased to see that the text is clear - which is important for reading aloud in church. I look forward to using it in my work as a Methodist Local Preacher.

Very clear print and well laid out
I bought (a more expensive) one elsewhere but thought it would be helpful to review for other customers. This is well laid out, the print is clear and fairly bold (so not grey as some bibles are). There are lots of notes/concordances which for same, can look a bit cluttered. The test size seems to be around 8 or 9 point as can be seen in the photos. So, readable in good light, but those with eyesight challenges i.e. strong prescriptions may find it a bit challenging and require a larger print version. It does indeed contain the deuterocanonical books (what protestants refer to as "the apocrypha"). Paper is thin, as to be expected but "show through" is acceptable. It does apparently miss a key word (beginning with "h") at 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10 which an earlier reviewer attempts to point out. However, it is covered in a single collective word instead so readers will have to make their own mind up as to whether this is worth getting animated about, or not. I guess the deciding factor might be whether you take a modern/liberal interpretation to the bible or a fundamentalist/puritan approach. Note that NRSV is not unique in this approach and there are other translations that take a similar approach. Overall, not quite as formal as NKJV, but another very good translation when compared with similar "thought for thought" or "practical equivalence" versions such as the CSB, NIV and REB.

DO NOT BUY THIS
This is a liberal reading of the Bible which adds, removes and changes words in the text to make it in line with feminist and other liberal ideology. Examples include including the words sisters where it isnโt there. 1Corinthians 6:9 removes what Paul actually wrote and substitutes with a more politically correct statement. If you are a true Christian avoid this perversion of the text at all costs!
