Bad quality. Connect and does not play the sound as supposed to be.!

It’s my own fault for not trying to research this, but after buying and using hundreds of pedals in a long career, this is the first I’ve run across that cannot be bypassed. So it’s basically useless to me. I only need it for a part of my playing. For much of what I do, it needs to be off. I realize I can use an external effects loop switch to do this, but I don’t have the space for another pedal. I wasn’t expecting the greatest preamp in the world for this low price, and it’s a very old product. Still, most disappointing. Based on past experience, it’s probably too much of a hassle to return the pedal (and it seems to work ok, although the VU meter is badly scuffed up and hard to read, another annoyance). Overall, not a good purchase.

VU meter did not work. Power supply has a nasty hum. Returned for refund and had amazon.com ship another unit. Second unit was flawless.
