I continue to be mesmerized by Anker’s flagship security cameras - Eufy S340 wired floodlight camera in particular. My review is based on Having hands on experience with Blink flood light and Netvue flood light cameras. Camera Aesthetic - very solid built, quite heavy too! The first impression one gets is its robust feel. Compared to Blink, the camera feels and look bigger, especially with the two large floodlights. The Netvue is a midget in this comparison. Programming and fixing - Customer convenience is visibly considered by the engineers who designed this camera. Considering that this camera is mains powered and fixed at a height, to make programming to app convenient, for this purpose only, the device can be powered by a USB-C! It’s very convenient option. Programming is pretty straightforward and a breeze. In my case I connected the camera to Home base 3 after pairing to my home WiFi. Fixing is made easy by the provided hanging hook and the base once screwed to the wall, camera can be gently pushed to lock and then secure by three small security screws. Camera experience: The camera supports upto 3K although if you opt to choose 24x7 recording as I did, most probably it will switch to AUTO mode to suit network conditions. It’s a few days since I installed the camera, the 24x7 recording has been perfect. The camera also supports motion alerts including near perfect human detection. This AI enabled feature, possible with Home Base 3, is pretty accurate and the Ai learning feature is active and always checking back in case of a misidentification. Pretty awesome. Eufy also supports pinch and zoom feature with its new Beta release. It’s another innovative feature where one can pinch to a particular object on live view, and the secondary camera will quickly zoom to that pinched area. Fascinating! Unlike the Eufy’s s220 video door bell, this camera supports motion alerts via Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Am unclear why Eufy has not allowed this feature on the S220. The built in flood light has many operating options including motion on, dusk to dawn or timed. I chose motion and this enabled night colour recording when motion alert videos are recorded. I however felt that the Blink floodlight was more bright and had a nicer day light feel. Another innovative feature is the ability to ‘pre set’ camera positions - upto four pre set positions and an always default position for the camera. This is a well thought of feature so that whatever angle or position the camera has moved, it will always return to this set position eventually. Once these positions are pre-set, another unique feature is the ‘Auto cruise’ option. Once enabled, camera will cycle through all the pre set positions continuously. Many more features are incorporated into this futuristic device. However, having saved the best for the last, Ai tracking feature is a fantastic piece of Ai mastering and works perfectly. The camera is a 24x7 workhorse with this feature activated, always tracking and recording passing humans, vehicles and pets. The camera never sleeps and never rests but still operates spot on! I have setup my camera in a dense traffic area, so this will be the litmus test to see how well and how long the camera will function. But from the looks of it, I think Eufy Camera is a solid piece of craftsmanship made to perform realistically. Although the S340 price is steep, this is definitely a worthwhile investment for those seeking reliability and uninterrupted performance.

I have bought and returned multiple systems because they seem great on paper, but then frustrated with user interface, recharging batteries, subscriptions, connectivity etc. the Eufy system was so impressive and satisfying for me. The dual camera and tracking has been awesome with few false alarms and good quick notifications. I bought just the camera and quickly bought another for the back door. I also added the homemade so I have 24/7 recording to all the cameras with no subscription needed at all. The user interface is awesome with good features and easy to use settings. Can easily recognize and filter out my dogs with very few false alarms. Tracks movement well and does recognize faces once it learned over time. I would give it 5 stars for video quality tracking and zoom. No subscription and easy integration with eufy system. Easy mobile app and the 24/7 recording gives me worry free piece of mind to go back and look at anything over the time period your HD size can hold. I was surprised at how much my 1 TB hard drive could hold with two cameras. I can go back and look at live non event recordings from 2 months ago. And have events from the beginning still saved. And that’s without having to manage and go back to save things. Super happy and I will stay with Eufy system because of ease of use and simplicity to add more as I go.

Exactly what I needed. Easy to install and has continued to work well. The camera was easily integrated into our existing network that already had four Eufy SoloCams and works well with all our iphones. Clear pictures, great auto functions, nice spotlight.

Only problem is you need to run a wire to you power other than that very good camera.

I was recently forced to replace my 8-year-old eufy floodlight camera, and this new model is definitely a huge step up in both functionality and image quality. The "look around" feature and the AI object tracking are fantastic additions that my older model lacked. Installation & Build: Installation wasn’t perfectly smooth. Even though eufy includes two types of screws, they were both too short to reach my junction box. I had to source my own longer screws to finish the job. Once mounted, however, it was "plug and play" and has been performing reliably on my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the past 3 days. One thing to note: the build quality has changed. My original camera was a substantial metal casing that survived years of Northeast winters and summers. This new version is primarily plastic, so I’m interested to see how it holds up over time compared to the old one. Important Tip: Make sure you order a microSD card separately! This model does not have internal storage, so you'll need the card to save your recordings.

I got this camera because i wanted to get a 24/7 recording feature. Not all recordings are available, when trying to go back to a certain time, it gives me long buffers and eventually video doesn't come up. playback feature needs better access and is not all alerts are given, most of the time, you have to know what to look for and what time because It will not tell you all the time. Was expecting more from this.
