KICKER 51KSC2704 KS-Series 2.75" Midrange Speakers, 4-Ohm, Pair

This is a fantastic speaker. I have a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek Premium, and I've built and tuned my entire sound system from scratch. These replaced my Kicker CS 3.5 2 way coax, because I was tired of the phase issues of having a tweeter mounted on the pole of the midrange woofer 3.5. The plastic and PEI of the CS also just had a very fatiguing metallic ring. These new Kickers were a great compromise, because I didn't want a coaxial in the dash, and I also wanted something more capable than just a plain midrange. I run these at 30W RMS, and they run alongside my doors, which are Hertz Cento 165 L, which also have paper cones. I used my DSP to adjust the EQ on these to be more warm and less fatiguing, and wow, these are amazing. I boosted some of the highs to give a bit more shimmer before they have a hard roll off. I don't know if I would enjoy these if I didn't have a DSP, so that's something to keep in mind for potential buyers. I personally prefer a warm sound signature but if you like bright, I'm sure you'll love them. I have them band passed from 400Hz-20kHz, using LR24 slopes on both top and bottom. I love these speakers, the detail is incredible. It's no Hertz Mille or Morel Piccolos, but for a budget to intermediate, these are a killer deal. I couldn't be happier. About the compatibility, they aren't a perfect fit in my dash, I had to drill a new hole (which was a pain because of the tiny space between the dash and windshield) and screw it in using a small crescent wrench, because of the difficulty of using a bit by hand. Now that I've done it once, I can use a small phillips tip bit and do it by hand. So worth it.

These installed in my 2008 Toyota Tundra Crew Max utilizing one of the mounting brackets included and they went in perfectly. I cut the wire from the old tweeter and soldered it to the new tweeter with supplied crossover and it's perfect. Used all other factory plug and wiring.

Finally found a speaker that will fit in my speaker enclosure with sight modification, had to do some light dremeling. Sounds pretty good, and adds pretty good clarity to vocals and instruments. Volume is pretty good just using a Sony head unit, speakers are in parallel using included crossover capacitor that seems to get the job done. Will try to update my review after some time using them.

I added these Kicker 2.75-inch midrange speakers as part of an audio upgrade in my Equinox, and they made a noticeable difference in the front soundstage. Vocals and other midrange frequencies come through much clearer than they did with the factory speakers, especially at higher volumes. They pair really well with the larger Kicker door speakers I installed. The door speakers handle more of the lower frequencies while these help bring vocals and details up toward ear level, which makes the whole system sound more balanced and immersive. Build quality is what I’d expect from Kicker and they feel solid for such small speakers. Just keep in mind that these are midrange speakers, so you shouldn’t expect much bass from them on their own. Installation can also require the correct adapters or wiring depending on your vehicle. I’m giving them 4 stars because $60 isn’t exactly cheap for a pair of 2.75-inch speakers, but they accomplished exactly what I wanted. If you’re upgrading an entire factory system rather than expecting these to transform the sound by themselves, they’re a very worthwhile addition.

these are great! the sound over powers everything else in the car. great clarity cant wait to have these paired with a 10 inch sub and a couple 6 1/2 KS kickers

Installed these in the dash of a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. They completely changed the sound in the car. The highs are very clear and pleasant. Awesome sound. Very affordable. Everything needed to install is included.

About the same as factory.

Real clear stage coming from dash. These make music come to life, vocal and instrumental are clear best place I started was with these kickers. To be as small as they are the sound is so clear. I’m not sorry I bought these and you won’t be either.

Honestly if you dont know kicker quality then these will blow you away

Really great for the price I have some Jl cf 275mt and these have pretty much the same thump except jl has that extra clarity but also that crazy price but these being as cheap as they are there fantastic and if your thinking of getting these for a build id completely recommend your not going to find anything better and as cheap as these but obviously if your looking for precision clarity and have the wallet go with higher end
