Purchases following a recommendation from a friend after a bad experience with a slightly cheaper dedicated handheld camera. This is awesome. Simple app, great quality and so convenient. Allowed me to swiftly trace heating pipe runs in a large old property I'd just moved in to and to diagnose a variety of old plumbing fails.

I had the opportunity to compare this with a Flir camera, and I have to say they are worlds apart. The resolution of this camera is really quite amazing, picking up on small thermal details. I can see the wiring in my heated steering wheel, and even objects that I've recently touched, or where I've walked barefoot on my hard floors. I did originally get this to check for draughts and cold-spots in my house, but unfortunately I wasn't able to draw anything definitive from it; I guess because it's picking up the entire ambient temperature too. There are other modes that support have been encouraging me to try out, so will need to explore those in more detail. I'm also puzzled by the design choice for the protective case - yes, it's a very sturdy case with lots of padding in it for the module, and even a small pocket for additional adapters, etc, but given the case is for using it when out and about, how is there NO space for even the included extension cable (which is definitely recommended to use because if you drop your phone with the camera plugged into the USB-C port directly, you will break something). The hardware itself is pretty good, but I guess it comes down to your use-case as to whether it's worth spending £170+ on it.

Great little thermal camera, much better the a more expensive brand we all know. I’ve used it now to make lots of improvements to the house insulation, I also use it when working on circuit boards. Just make sure you charge your phone up first as it gets quite addictive!

Premium construction including the little case provided. Has additional adaptors in the box Download the app from the Play Store then plug it in. Done. Really easy and no batteries required. The image is clear and bright, with a respectable resolution. There are some settings to adjust the image, colours and range. They aren't explained very well but you can tinker with them to your own requirements. I am using it with a Galaxy S24 Ultra, so I am unsure if a budget phone will be as good but I don't see why not. The sensitivity is extremely impressive. Try walking (even quickly) along a carpet and see your footprints! Try facing a window and you will see an eerie vision of yourself even if you can't see the reflection with the naked eye! The temperature will show instantly as you pan around and it's quite an eye opener to see how much heat is radiating from various appliances and tech around your home. It's expensive (mid range) but worth it in my opinion, especially when it's on offer as it was when I purchased. It might be a bit of a toy to some but it does have some genuinely useful practical uses.

The thermal camera has been very helpful at tracing heat related things. I've added a few pictures to illustrate how it's been able to detect radiator pipes within walls, under hardwood floors, under carpet. It's also shown colder spots on a radiator. Also it shows the cold section with the loft hatch and also an unexpected couple of cold sections in the ceiling. The device itself is tiny, but a doddle to plug in and use. The periodic self-calibration is helpful to keep temperature indicators in check. It's easy to set thresholds for upper/lower temperatures. I'm really glad I went for the higher resolution this camera delivers - it's very helpful. You don't need to have it as picture-in-picture mode, but I find it useful for keeping images afterwards. I have zero complaints about this device.

A very compact and easy to use product. As others have said, surprisingly good resolution at this price point and a big improvement over the Flir product I used to have (until its internal battery failed prematurely). As soon as I tried it out for the first time, I discovered that half of our underfloor heating was off!

This is too fiddly to use and hard to get the most out of using my iPhone, maybe it’s better with android, where the extendable lead can be utilised. I couldn’t say. Given how fiddly it can be, to get the right angles or distance from what you’re trying to see, very often in enclosed or limited spaces, it seems very overpriced. If I were looking again I’d by a stand alone one, not a phone add on. It would be vastly improved if you could plug it in and have its functionality via the phones camera, instead of the products app, as I find the app it works with is quite a pain in the *** however when the fiddly bits are out of the way it can deliver a decent representation of where your heat loss is coming from, etc. The item itself is quite small, though it has a findable sized case with good protection. However the functionality of trying to use it can become frustrating. The price indicates top quality, but the experience differs.

Die Rückmeldung kam schnell und freundlich. Man bestätigte mir, dass neuere Handys derzeit nicht immer kompatibel seien, riet mir aber, das Gerät zurückzusenden, um den Kaufpreis zu erstatten, und etwas zu warten, bis die vollständige Einbindung der neueren Modelle abgeschlossen sei. Etwa drei Wochen später erhielt ich erneut eine Nachricht: Ich sollte meine Adresse angeben – und kurz darauf bekam ich tatsächlich kostenfrei ein überarbeitetes Modell zugesendet, das sofort und einwandfrei mit meinem Pixel 9 Pro funktionierte. Seitdem habe ich die Kamera vielfach getestet und bin sehr zufrieden. Das extrem kleine Gerät passt problemlos in eine Jacken- oder Seitentasche und ist jederzeit einsatzbereit. Die Aufnahmen sind für diese Preisklasse erstaunlich gut: scharf, kontrastreich und auf dem Smartphone-Display hervorragend darstellbar. Besonders positiv ist, dass sich Farbpaletten, Temperaturbereiche, Entfernung und Emissionsgrad leicht und intuitiv anpassen lassen. Natürlich kann das Gerät nicht mit den großen, professionellen Wärmebildkameras konkurrieren. Aber wer eine handliche, immer griffbereite Kamera mit sehr ordentlicher Bildqualität und solider Auflösung sucht, liegt hier genau richtig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Kundendienst, der sich schnell und wirklich hilfreich zurückmeldet. Daher: volle 5 Sterne.

L'astuccio ha anche un pratico moschettone che consente di agganciarlo a un pantalone o ad un anello di una borsa o borsone.
