Govee RGBIC TV LED Backlight H6102

I installed this LED strip behind my desk to serve as accent lighting. I did not have to trim the LED strip to length and so cannot comment on that experience. I did use the included adhesive strip to secure the LED strip to the table top which worked well. There was plenty of cable left over to find a place for the controller and USB power cable. However, the USB power cable is considerably shorter (~20 inches) than the cable which connects the controller to the LED strip (~30 inches). This would not be an issue except for the fact that both cables exit from the same location on the controller itself and therefore the location of the controller is limited by the length of the USB cable, not necessarily by the length of the cable connecting the controller to the actual LED strip. This is a minor concern and is really just something to think about when routing cables and placing the LED strip. The actual LEDs are bright but not obnoxious and the color reproduction is accurate with the exception of the white which is naturally going to be off since this is not an RGB-W LED strip. The included music mode works very well and is a neat feature. In conclusion, this is a very good product, especially given the price, and would work well as accent lighting just about anywhere.

I'm just getting with the times with all this Amazon and settings. Can I hear someone say give me one more setting? Settings settings settings I'm a sound head and I'm obsessed with sound everything's got to be in digital BTS. Quick just right so why don't they have one button? And all your audio settings that says best. The best best! Okay back to the review. , this thing rocks for twenty bucks. That's what two shots of Jack. ? It's so cool. Even I can do it. And the USB thing stopped me for a minute, but one of the many desk lamps I buy from an Amazon have a USB. So I plugged it into that and that was kind of Tippy tip the darn thing over. So I went to the dollar store and bought the adapter for 4 bucks. Cheap Chinese crap, but it's cool and it's black. Anyway This thing rocks. I haven't even played with the app, but looks like I'm still trying to figure out the Hot Wheels ID app for chrissakes. I get out of load some kind of a scanner, you know, that does not UPC labels, but you know those squiggly squares? So haven't tried the app yet. I'll have to read on for reviews to see what the apps all about. Yeah, it would be nice if it had a remote and you could have the remote, you know on your couch, but I guess that would that's what the apps for. Let's hope you don't have to have an iPhone 10 million to use it. Haven't tried it yet to be continued. Good gear, highly recommended packs great looks to me like it's German and they even give you a little alcohol swab too bad to wipe off. Like if you want to put it behind your TV or in any surface because what this is is a strip of like really intricate LEDs that are more like a silicone gel. And then the adhesive is on the back of that strip there about a half inch wide by maybe 1/8 inch thick. So if that helps and they're really cool. So good luck. I got to look into it. I think you can add more on my and I haven't even done yet from the Real to Reel La canister thing it comes in but there's probably a female or male like Christmas lights you can continue or maybe they want you to buy another one will see We'll see. Period. Well anyway. I smoked about 4 bowls and I'm listening to Grand Funk to this. Lights and I have it in the music mode and it's dead nuts man and almost looks like the old house Telegraph Vu meter in high school. I don't know old Kenwood or Pioneer 8-track player. Now that I have your attention. I just wanted to fully confirm for everyone that these lights do not offer the ability to "Chase"...or more specifically "Speed Chase" OUT OF THE BOX!! And when I say chase...I mean, the very fluid, fast, criss-cross, back and forth subsections. If you don't update the firmware, the most you will have is a marquis movie theater sign type effect....However...DRUM ROLL PLEASE!! Be prepared to ignore those other reviews that say they "do not chase"....YES THEY DO!! You MUST download the firmware version (v1.05.00) that most likely will be available once you connect them to the app. There will be a TV image representation for your LED String, and you should see a red dot on the lower left side of that picture, and the words "A new firmware version has been detected." Click on the the TV and it should allow you update it. Once that is completed. ALL the advanced features will be unlocked for these lights. You can use GOVEE's Light Studio, Configure your own DIY Scenes that can chase or rainbow, or apply user created scenes w/ full speed chasing effects. Second....Confirmed!! You CAN color the individual segments/sections independently with total control to click on a section and create custom color arrangements to your liking. Under the "Color" seciton...you will be presented with the "snake diagram" where you can select (via check mark) which subsection you want to color and all the color selector options available including a "color wheel". It is VERY IMPORTANT to download/install the v1.05.00 update via the app!! I was not aware of this after reading all the reviews claiming these did not speed-chase/rainbow color change....I can 1000% confirm they do (and I have included a video) for proof...but it all hinges on you getting that update!! As for mounting the strip, I did not peel off the sticky backing on the LED strips, I only used the clips for my application and that was more than enough. I can't attest to their adhesion but the clips stuck on just fine. Make sure you're working with a clean surface first. The reason I did not use the adhesive backing is so I can move these around later if I want, and not damage them or the furniture they are currently on.... Additionally..connecting to, and setting them up in the GOVEE app worked just fine for bluetooth! IMPORTANT!! These are not Alexa/Home compatible. They are Bluetooth ONLY!! So if you want to turn them on and off with Alexa/Google....you can't unless you have a "Smart USB Plug" in between the light strip and the USB power source!! Get a Wifi Set of GOVEE light strips if you want that functionality. The room I'm in, and the desk I put them on is right behind me...I don't need Alexa control...Bluetooth works just fine. Brightness is decent for a desk or TV application so you'll enjoy them for those movies and music. You can DIY color themes and have them fade, jump, twinkle, chase, and rainbow among many others. The only one I could not find specifically is "Breathe"......Fade is like "breathe" sorta...The USB connection is brilliant. I just plugged them into a power strip below my desk that has USB ports...and it works awesome. The cabling, strips, and controller are black, so for a dark desk, they blend very well. Not some annoying white cable that stands out. It's very stealthy!!.....ANYWHO There are pros and cons with anything obviously. IF you are looking for some ambiance for a desk space, or a TV and you don't need the extremes...Then yes...this will work for your application. I got them based on these 3 criteria...RGBIC, USB, and 6.5ft length. It's a tiny desk, and I didn't want to cut them or have lots of extra strip left over I didn't know where to route or hang down. That said...I gave them a 5 due to the firmware upgrade. Thank you GOVEE because they do work great, and it really would have been a shame to lose out on the full capability of these LEDs...If this fits your application, I full recommend them!! Rock On!!

Perfecto para detrás de la tv.Para mi gusto el sensor de sonido es muy sensible.La app funciona perfecto. Debería de tener mas configuraciones de luz,pero con las que lleva va perfecto. Muy bien embalado,y entrega rápida. Recomendacion: Antes de poner en la Tv,probarlo un par de días,y ver todos sus efectos,ya que tenemos que buscar el centro de la tira led para instalar,de no ser así,cuando lo enciendas los efectos no estarán centrados y no quedara bien

Sono stato attratto da questa striscia LED per via del prezzo molto contenuto, poiché non avevo mai acquistato strisce LED fino ad ora. Devo proprio dire che sono super soddisfatto la qualitá é veramente alta e super resistente. L'installazione e' veramente semplice e veloce penso che ho impiegato meno di 2 minuti. La striscia puó essere controllata tramite app, se ascolti musica puoi inserire la modalità audio music e trasformi il tuo salone in una mini disco in 10 secondi, se invece vuoi un illuminazione professionale puoi scegliere le altre modalità cambiando tonalità e intensità luminosa sempre tutto in pochi click. Posso dire che il flusso luminoso emesso non é potentissimo ma veramente ottimo per retro illuminare una tv, per illuminare un computer case o meglio ancora per illuminare un armadio. Ho acquistato questo articolo circa un pó più di una settimana fa e già non ne posso fare più a meno!!!! Veramente soddisfatto, Ottimo acquisto... Consigliato!!

Produit de qualité et facile d'utilisation juste un branchement en usb et le tour est joué . réagis très bien a la musique et aux sons de la télé . Donne un très belle effet derrière la télé . Le ruban est de très bonne qualité .
