My family and I use these cards as discussion prompts together, one person selecting a few and then the other person gets to choose from those -- we don't even play the game. They are excellent and highly recommended.

This game catalyzed the end of my relationship, for better or worse. It contains a brought spectrum of questions, questions that you would ask on a first date but also questions that you may ask after a three-year relationship.

I'll start with my minor annoyance, which is that the instructions were not printed in the box, but rather are accessible via a QR code. Fine, at least while QR codes are still peak technology and someone is maintaining the Esther Perel website. But if I'm being sold a physical object, then the instructions should be physically with the item, especially since they could be needed years down the line. At least the instructions are pretty easy; one could just write then down. Otherwise, the game itself is a great concept and well-executed. I recently pulled it out at a party, and it was so well-received. It provides an opportunity to connect with others on a deeper level, where folks share stories, values, beliefs—deeper than 'what do you do' / 'what have you been up to recently.' At the same time it doesn't put folks horribly on the spot or force them to share things beyond their comfort zone, as everyone can choose from multiple prompts.

This card game is fun and great for travel. I am gifting one as well…Makes a great wedding or shower gift for a new couple!

I bought this product as a birthday gift for my best friend, who listens to Esther Perel’s podcast and loves playing games with her husband. She absolutely loved it! She and her husband really enjoyed playing the game and learning more about each other. She said the game is very easy to learn and the cards help spark a lot of fun and interesting conversations. The product is very high quality overall, and the cards are durable. The game is very compact, making it ideal for travel, and it can be played with players of all ages, making it perfect for gatherings of family and friends. It’s a great value for the price. I plan to buy it for my family for Christmas!

I'm sure this card game is insightful and intriguing for some people... but not for me. I found there were many prompts that had undertones of deceit and dishonesty that I personally did not resonate with. Questions like: "I lie to my therapist about..." "The last time I ghosted..." "My social media presence would lead you to believe..." "I hope no one ever finds out about the time..." "I hope my kids never find out about the time i..." These questions presume that the game player lies in some way to others either directly, through omission, or projecting an image. I don't operate in this way, nor do I surround myself with people who operate this way either. In the same vein, there are also many questions regarding sex and sexuality that also feel come from a locus of discontent. Ultimately, I felt like this card game would be best enjoyed by the kind of people who get quoted on @overheardnewyork. While I'm all for creative ways to foster intimacy, there is an angsty tone to this game that I find salacious rather than healing.

Great conversations had with friends, and just as a couple. Comes in a nice box that was sadly damaged on arrival, inside of the box was dirty, highly recommend the game, but would likely get from different seller, do to inside of box. It arrived in a bag which didn not protect it what so ever. 5 star game 2 star postage
