I bought this tool to run some Cat6 Ethernet lines for my home office, and honestly, I don't see why a DIYer would spend double on the big-name brands (like Klein) when this does the job perfectly. Here is the breakdown after crimping about 50 ends: The Good: Pass-Through is a Game Changer: If you aren't a pro doing this every day, getting the wires in the right order can be a headache. This tool works with "Pass-Through" connectors (where the wires poke out the front), and it trims them flush automatically when you crimp. It makes it nearly impossible to mess up the color order. Solid Build: It doesn't feel like a cheap plastic toy. It has a heavy steel frame and a smooth ratcheting action. Consistent: Every crimp I made tested perfect on my network tester. No loose pins. The One Thing to Watch Out (Read this!): The Stripper: The built-in cable stripper is very sharp. If you clamp down fully, you will nick the copper wires inside the cable. Fix: Practice on a scrap piece of wire first. You only need to rotate the tool once with very light pressure to score the jacket, then snap it off. Once you get the "feel" for it, it works great. Bottom Line: If you are an IT professional crimping 100 cables a day, maybe buy the ergonomic cushioned ones. But for wiring a house or making patch cables? Save your money and get this. It’s the best value out there.

Good tool, crimps are solid, cuts cleanly.

I bought this for a home wiring job and it worked just fine. The cutting blade was sharp and made a clean every time. I had no trouble using it to score the cable jacket but use a light touch here. The crimping part worked fine and did a good enough job cutting the ends of the wires on the pass through connectors. Some needed a little wiggle to cut them off completely but no big deal. I don't know how this would compare to an expensive professional tool since I've never used one but for someone that doesn't do this for a living, this tool is all I need. I'm happy with this purchase.

I needed to add standard aftermarket terminators to a proprietary terminated CAT 8 cable. This was just the tool I needed to attach the standard RJ45 terminator connectors.

Works great. The wire cutters for the pass through connectors could be a little better but overall good!

Excellent tool for use on many field projects!

Much better than a certain other pricey brand. Not ratcheting, which i actually prefer, adjustable for the different thicknesses, can crimp shielded, comes with spare blades.

I just started using pass-thru connectors and they are so much easier. I used to use one of those other style of crimpers and manually trim the conductors, but these leave a nice flush cut and the cables work first time. It also came with spare blades and screws. It's heavy duty and accurate. Well worth the price.

Great. So far I made few hundred connections and all works great. Sharp. Crimping is perfect (all pins/blades fully cut in, just enough) Perfect fit in hand and striping part works good too.

Très bonne pince avec son petit système pour la bloquer en position fermée...bien vu. La lame coupe bien mais elle est clairement conçue pour les DROITIERS...les gauchers auront toutes les indications de l'autre coté. Pas très grave non plus

Lo use para armar un cable UTP CAT 8 de 30 metros con los conectores RJ45 CAT 8 de la misma marca y funcionor a la perfección. Así que si tu tienes dudas y estas en el mismo proceso que yo te puedo decir que me sirvió incluso usando un cable UTP de uso rudo. Completamente con unas herramientas para realizar la prueba de conexión del cable y listo uní dos mesh de asus. Altamente recomendable.
