This cleans the washing machine tube very well. It removes any smell and grime that starts to build up. My stepdaughter used the washing machine while we were away and left wet clothes in the washer for two weeks. The smell was horrible. I used these packets and ran the machine through the clean tube cycle two times and it removed the odar and residue that was caused by the two weeks of wet cloths being left in the machine.
