We cut these down to fit the windows of our RV. They are thin enough that a faint soft glow during the day shines through, BUT- the temperature inside the room changed 22* Degrees cooler on a 102* Day!!! Works so well for reflecting the heat! Well worth the money, easy to cut and looks nice not all wrinkly like most we have seen! Very Good Quality, tried and true!

I have a sky light In my kitchen. It filters 50% of the sun. During the summer months, I cover one side and it helps with heat in the kitchen in the noon hours of the day. Great product!1

Good foil insulation for the price. This isnt the high quality stuff, but will be great for 90% of the things average people need insulated. I used it to cover a window that faces the sun all day long. Could instantly tell a difference, the room stays a bit cooler now. Highly recommend. Easy to use & comes with sticky dots for mounting (i used thumb tacks tho)

In a pinch it works, but Definitly does not work as well as the thicker insulation. It was easy to cut and hides well behind the curtains.

I used this reflective foil insulation to make custom window shades for my car, and it worked out even better than I expected. It’s easy to cut to size, holds its shape well, and fits nicely against the windows. The biggest difference is how much cooler my car stays when it’s parked in direct sunlight. It noticeably reduces the heat buildup, so getting into the car on hot days is much more comfortable. If you’re looking for an affordable DIY solution for car window sunshades, this material works great. I’d definitely buy it again.

Nice reflective sheet. Easy to cut and mount. Gives great sun protection and is lightweight. Helps control the temperature.

This item is a definite 5 star. I have a glass door on my back porch that the sun hits most of the day. If its a 100 plus degrees outside to touch the window would feel like double that but now that I have covered it with this item its as cold as the thermostat is set.

I live in an old apartment building with poorly insulated, southeast facing windows. I got fed up with having to replace my air conditioners EVERY YEAR because so much heat was blasting through the windows, even with blackout curtains. I decided to give this reflective insulation a try. I decided to install the insulation on the outside of the windows, because it was too hard to get at the windows from inside with all the furniture in the way. You can install it inside if you prefer. I used metal furnace duct tape because it's heat resistant and reflective. I also bought a digital thermometer for my living room so I could see if the insulation made a difference. The insulation is lightweight, easy to handle, and easy to cut. I'm an old single lady and I was able to cut and attach the insulation on my windows in about an hour. The tape was harder to handle than the insulation. After installing the insulation I noticed the temperature in my living room went down by about 10 degrees C. Since then I've observed that my portable AC units aren't constantly running trying to cool the rooms anymore. Hopefully I can stop having to replace them every year from now on! If so, this insulation will definitely pay for itself. I haven't decided yet if I'll take it down in winter. My landlord hasn't complained about the insulation on my windows. Maybe he knows I'm saving him money on hydro. If you're a renter you might want to double check that your landlord will allow you to use this insulation.

Perfect for our windows to keep heat out in the morning sun. It works well. It also keeps the bedroom darker for a better sleep. I'll keep them on the windows during cold months to see how it insulates. I recommend this.

This works amazingly well, no more kitchen aluminum foil. Was surprised there was so much in the package, which comes with its own sticky dots too. I can think of a number of more uses for this, so I'll be ordering more when I run out. Very happy.

put up yesterday in our insanely hot south facing bedroom window. I did a lot of research online before I put it up and left at 1/4 space between the window and the bubble wrap itself. supposed to the best for this. easy to cut to size and just taped to the sill with painters tape to avoid any damage when removing it. will see if it truly does help cut the heat. **hoping**
