This book is written great and walks you through everything you need to know to at some level design solar systems. It is easy to follow and is packed with tons of useful information. If you are contemplating getting this book or not for Andy's Principles of Solar Energy Systems class I highly recommend it. Can't complain about the price for such a useful guide to solar energy.

Practical engineering equations presented in a usable format. As a physicist this book was readable, concise and thorough. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to build solar solutions.

Author Andy Walker clearly has a rich and deep history in applying solar energy to a diverse range of projects. Here he shares his perspectives in a particularly well-organised book. I suppose what really struck me about this book was the fact that it has an excellent content to page number ratio; in other words, there's a lot of information crammed into the medium-sized book. I tend to learn best when given specifics, so I really appreciated the case studies. Throughout, the book provides an excellent balance between general operating principles and the nitty-gritty of application.
