Nice looking Charger with option to charge with NACS and J1772
This EV charger is well made and if you have a Tesla, it makes sense to get a Tesla Charger. You will find some no-name brand charges for a bit cheaper but it's not worth the risk. I was on the fence on getting this charger (Universal Wall Connector) versus the Tesla Wall Connector (only NACS plug) for $120 less. This does the same thing the Tesla Wall Connector does but comes with a built-in NACS to J1772 adapter that is securely locked to the charger. For those with the Cybertruck, the Universal Wall Connector is the only charger that is capable of utilizing the Telsa PowerShare (home backup power). If you don't care for the J1772 adapter or the PowerShare, you can save some money by opting for the Tesla Wall Connector. Then if you need to charge a EV with a J1772 in the future, you can also purchase an adapter. For me, it was worth the extra $120 for this charger because I am getting a high quality NACS to J1772 adapter that is built into the charger. The adapter does locks into the charger when not in use and also locks into the NACS plug if charging with this adapter. Installation: Consult with an license electrical before installation. I opted to go with 6-AWG THHN copper wires and a 60-amp breaker for my install. If you use Romex, you may have to go with 4-AWG wires. Only three wires are required for the install (2 hots and a ground wire - no neutral wire needed). 6-AWG is the minimum size wire that Tesla recommends if you plan to charge at the 48A max output. The location of the Universal Wall Connecter is only a couple feet from my breaker panel. I purchase 6 ft of wires and use 3/4" flexible conduct. The mounting box has a pre-drilled top and bottom knockouts made for 3/4 conducts. If you go with a larger size conduit, you will have to drill a larger opening on mounting box. There are also some pre-marked holes to drill in the back of the mounting box if you prefer to have the wires come out from the wall. Usage: The charger works well. My Model 3 is set to charge at 32A and it charged from 20% to 80% in about 4.5 hours. The cable is long enough that it can reach from the front wall of my garage to outside (where my Model 3 is parked in the driveway). The charger allows setting the breaker size which will set the max amp charging output. I set it to 60-amp breaker, which will charge at a max of 48A. Your car should be able to control the output of the charge. If not, you can set it to a smaller breaker size and it will drop the charging output lower. Currently, there is no easy way to do this. You have to put the charger in commission mode and then connect to the charger's Wi-Fi and navigate to the charger's IP address. Only then can you change the output amperage on the charger. But this is not something an average user would need to do so Tesla may of made it inconvenient for this reason. 2-MONTH UPDATE: * The charger is still working great. I have not encounter any issue yet. I mostly use the Tesla plug and used the J1772 adapter twice. * This price for this charger has increased by $25 while the price for regular Wall Connector has decrease by $25. Price difference is now $170 (no longer $120 as noted in my original review). 8-MONTH UPDATE: I use this daily and it's still working without any issues. Also appended some notes about the Tesla Powershare to my original review.

Sleek, Reliable, and Future-Proof – A Must-Have for EV Owners!
If you own a Tesla—or any EV, really—this home charger is a game changer. I bought this particular model with the future in mind, just in case I switch to a different EV down the road. It’s universal, powerful, and looks great mounted in the garage. Installation was straightforward, and once it’s up, using it is a breeze. I don’t personally use all the advanced features like scheduled charging (I set that from my car), but it’s nice to know the options are there. Overall, this charger is a solid investment. It's sleek, easy to operate, and feels built to last. Highly recommend for anyone looking to simplify their EV charging at home with a bit of style and versatility!

I did it myself
Now this product is excellent and very easy to install, but I do mean, but only problem is you got to have a lot of common sense and patience you got to have weakness and you cannot cut on the wires. The wires are the most expensive part besides buying the box cause you have to use wire that won't heat up and trust me you want that and bending them in the pipe you try to make the pipe invisible, which I did you see it a little bit coming from the junction box going into the garage and the pipe runs at the bottom of the floor like a 3 inch off the floor to the front of the garage and conduit and it looks real real nice I'm sorry I didn't have a picture but you gotta come back and take a picture and put it up now but anyway it's excellent. Charge is very fast no problems with the unit. Will let you know if you did something wrong. I did use a 60 amp breaker and the save you to harassment. I recommend that you install it close by the breaker if you do it inside the garage if you're doing outside the garage it makes it look even better which I did it outside but the cable was low enough to put it on the inside if I wanted to OK but anyway, long story excellent product excellent have no complaints at all with the money.

Great charger
I'll give you this... It's a great charger. The cord is sturdy and thick. The adapter is easy to use. And I don't have to worry about the nacs standard because I'll already have it. It's easy to use and charges way faster than the regular 120 plug that came with my caddy But getting the charger was a pain in the butt. First, they got back ordered. Literally the day I committed to buying... That day... It went from 2 day shipping to 2 weeks. I received the item two weeks later, and it was used missing the installation hardware. There were scratches on the side. You can visibly and clearly see this was not a new unit. Amazon replaced it... BUT it was still on backorder. So I had to wait another 2 weeks. They sent an actual new unit. I did alot of talking to tesla and Amazon customer service. I just had to wait. And this isn't to mention me buying the cheaper wall connector at first... Which was also on back order. What a joke... It took about a month and a half overall. Once I got it the installer got it up and running. You just run the qr code... Follow the prompts. And bam: you got your charge on. I've been using it a few months and it's so simple. Just plug it in. (you have to set it up during install to charge at night)... You wake up and you have a fully charged car. You can also charge immediately. Like the other day I came home with 2% and I plugged it in and hit charge on the app. After about an hour and a half or so I was at 20%. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to stop the charging with the tesla app. I have to use the cadillac app to stop the charge. No biggie. The tesla app is pretty robust. You can set up to charge at a super station. And add other tesla products.... But I only see myself having the charger for now. Overall I'm happy. It is pricey. I would have stuck with the cheaper wall connector but I didn't want to chance it with a after market adapter. Luckily I used my points to buy Amazon gift cards. Otherwise I'd stuck with the cheaper charger or the charge point

Fantastic Charger!
I own a Dodge Hornet which is a plug-in hybrid. I live in NJ and our energy company (PSE&G) has a rebate program for installing a charger in your home. I received a $1,500 credit on my energy bill after I provided all of the details they required. The charger itself works really well. I may purchase a Tesla at some point so I love the versatility of being able to charge both types of vehicles. My electrician had no trouble installing it and the township approved the permit without any issues. I would highly recommend it!

Most Versatile EVSE on the Market - Can charge just about any car!
Having just bought a Tesla and already owning an EV with a J-1772 charge port, I knew I needed an EVSE for my house that has the ability to charge both vehicles. Tesla offers great hardware and this was the perfect choice for me. Both cars charge quickly at 48A and the unit is small enough that when the cars aren't plugged in, it's barely noticeable on the wall. Overall for what it does, it is a great value to get both charger connector types in one unit and it's very easy to switch between both of the connectors. I would highly recommend professional installation of this unit since it requires hard-wiring to your main electrical panel.

Poor customer service - Charger not working after only a few months
I am very unhappy with this charger. I had a juice box charger at home for years prior to getting this charger. I had no problems with the juice box. I have had this charger installed for only a few mo the and it stopped working. I tried doing all the Tesla app troubleshooting. I contacted customer service. I received an email that had similar instructions to the app but provided the password I needed but had misplaced. Still couldn't get it to work. I contacted the email technician again and let them know my charger still isn’t working. Nothing. I sent another email saying I need to be able to reliably charge my car as I depend on it to get to my job. Still nothing. Do yourself a favor and purchase from a company with reliable customer service.
