I love the HMR entrees, bars, and hot cereal. I've never tried the soup and I can't drink the shakes because I'm allergic to eggs (which are a main ingredient in both the regular and lactose free), so I can't comment on those. I just wish that every item was available on subscribe and save instead of a random select few. Because of my allergy I can't join the auto delivery program on the HMR site because I would waste $100 worth of shakes every month, but paying full price there or on Amazon is a bit steep for my budget. This is definitely a diet I can stick to, I've lost 44 pounds and have never been hungry or felt deprived. I've learned to love fruits and vegetables. I highly recommend these products, but just be aware that those who have allergies or are diabetic can't really follow this diet. The bars and shakes use real sugar and no artificial sweeteners (as far as I can tell by reading the labels online). If that's not an issue for you, then this is the best diet plan for the money because you will learn to eat a balanced diet and won't gain back the weight in a flash once you go back to eating "normal" food if you stick with eating three servings of protein and five servings of fruits and veggies a day...and don't overload on empty calories and junk food and carbs, of course.

I purchased these for my husband but had one myself. YUM! These are meant to be eaten with a small salad and side cooked vegetable. We traveled in a new RV this summer and I stocked these in the cabinets since they can be left at room temperature. They are handy to have.

good food could cost less

First, I am a honest user of HMR meals, and have been so for quite some time. I have also tried Nutrisystem. HMR is by far much better than Nutrisystem in my opinion. The HMR meals I have tried (Lentils, Pasta Fagoli, Whole Grain Medley, Ravioli, Beef Stroganoff and this Stew have all been delicious! And when I say delicious, I mean for what they are - a diet plan meal. I found Nutrisystem meals that are equivalent to HMR all tasted the same. HMR meals all have their own distinct flavors, like any meal should have. I cannot understand any negative review for these diet plan meals at all. The ones I have tried have all been delicious! I am not a relative or friend of anyone at HMR, nor did I receive any payment or freebies for my review. I give honest reviews good or bad, and this one is a fantastic review! The stew has tender chunks of beef that are very lean, no fat, veggies tender and the sauce is beefy! Just like a good old fashioned beef stew should be.

Weight loss by starvation??? Lol, well I can certainly see how one would loose a great deal of unwanted weight if they chose to eat only these "meals" as they're literally only 3 spoonfuls per! Now I am guessing they added a filler of some kind because normally I'd be able to eat all 6 that came in my 6pk but after eating only two which was not even half a bowl of stew I felt really full.... But if this works for you then congratulations but I do not feel that 6pk was worth the $24 it cost me, heck you can go buy some better quality Dinty More beef stew and only eat half of it and save yourself quite a lot of money if the cost is of concern for you... The stew did taste pretty good once I added salt,pepper and garlic salt but again I have had better out of a can...

HMR is the only weight loss program I've used that works. The entrees and shakes, bars and cereal, are all realistically designed to be balanced for intake with the intention to lose weight. There is a "must" coming.... You MUST be consistent if you expect to see results. Eat HMR foods and add fruits and veggies ONLY and you will lose the weight. HMR has been and will continue to be a lifestyle for me to maintain the weight I've lost. I just wish it was more affordable so more people could have the opportunity to be healthier using this program.

I'm old, type 2 diabetic, have cardiac issues, and therefore am isolating from COVID. I always did my own cooking anyway, but I prefer not to shop for groceries now. This tastes as good as what I would make, which is pretty good. I don't have a big freezer, so it comes in handy that these don't need refrigeration. They are also ready after only one minute in the microwave. I have already ordered the second shipment of everything. Overall, every product I have tried from this source has proved to be good, fast, easy, and convenient - just what I need!

This is a very decent tasting and good quality beef stew, Chunky potatoes, small beef chunks, little carrot bits, onions, peas, and plenty of sauce. The overall flavor is very good. Amazingly, only 160 calories (25 from fat) the lowest of any of these meals that I've tried. It has 570 mg sodium, which is a bit higher than some of these meals, but not too bad (24% of DRI). The beef had decent texture and taste. Could be more of it, but enough, I guess. Very decent quality and good taste compared to other similar meals I've tried. Update: Raised my rating from 4 to 5 stars as I have really enjoyed these meals and they definitely help with weight control. (I am not following any official diet plan, just trying to follow healthy eating habits as much as I can in my daily routine.) Update: I dropped my rating back to 4 stars. Got a new shipment in the new packaging. I liked the old packaging better, but no big deal. Anyway, what is a big deal is that this shipment does not taste as good as my previous (old package) shipment. They claim it's the same, but it definitely was different. Maybe it is just this batch. I will update again, later, if that is so, but for now, this drops it down a notch. Update: The taste is definitely not as good and after several pkgs that has not changed. Checked ingredients and they did, indeed, change from the older variety. Too bad.
