Hercules Stream 100, Intuitive gaming audio controller for Windows PC

Tried to use it for over a week. While device is connected or the software is installed I was unable to get any audio output from my computer. Tried with several USB connected headsets, the audio jack speakers and a audio and mic jacked headset. Had to disconnect device then uninstall software and restart system inorder to get any sound out if my system. Returning and earning you all. This is a 1 star review and would be 0 if possible as device is unusable and is a pain to get any sound out of my system after trying to use it.

First off, I'll just jump straight to the main issue with the device. It's the software. Upon waking the computer from sleep it will often have multiple sources muted, for example System sounds, Discord, Spotify etc. You have to manually unmute them and restart the software to get it to work properly. Sometimes the brightness resets upon waking the computer from sleep as well. The device itself, when the software is working properly, is completely fine at best. The screen looks bad and the knobs don't have much resistance to them. It was fine for controlling my system volume and discord etc but with the software issues I'm going back to using the Beacn Mix.

The Stream 100 proves to be very efficient and rewarding. 1) I use 4 knobs to adjust the level of 3 audio sources + 1 master output, the 3 audio inputs are 2 microphones + 1 music app. 2) I monitor the levels on the built-in screen. Hercules app for Stream 100 is surprisingly simple: in 30 minutes, I have downloaded the app, updated the firmware, and chosen sources + VU meter colors. I use the Stream 100 to control the level of 2 microphones and a music app in the background. - 1 Beyerdynamic TG V70 hypercardioid microphone for vocals, in XLR on a Universal Audio Volt 476 interface. - 1 T.Bone SC 450 cardioid USB microphone for noise pickup, in USB on the computer. I previously used 2 microphones connected to the Volt 476 in XLR, with their volumes controlled on Volt 476's knobs. However, the mic for noise pickup proved too sensitive and picked up unwanted household noise, so I took the less sensitive T.Bone SC 450 USB mic. Changing this microphone required to switch between Windows mixer and Volt microphone knob to set the 2 mic during each session, so I finally added the Stream 100. As expected, the Stream 100 combines the settings for all audio inputs, which is super convenient and secure. I also noticed an unexpected benefit: the audio quality is much improved thanks to the more precise and faster volume meters compared to the Volt 476 vumeters, whereas previously I adjusted the volume less carefully as I was unaware of slight saturation issues.

The software is really buggy and not intuitive, so you have to constantly unplug it if you are switching/closing programs since it will just freeze. And it does not auto-detect audio, so if you are gaming, you have to set up a button for reach game. It is also cheaply built.

I was a Voicemeeter user for a while but I found it over complicated and not very useful when you are in a middle of a game as you need to pause, open the software, click on stuff... I was looking for a small device that'd help me have a visual monitoring of my volumes and let me control them without having to Alt+Tab. I saw a couple videos on other products : theylooked very engineer-oriented without any room for customization, as Voicemeeter is. Stream Control app is straight forward, very easy to use. It does what it promises to do, and you get to change icons, backgrounds, colors, etc. I recommend.

Bought it for me and my daughter. I use it during the day to control my headset and music while in a meeting. She uses it in the evening for her Twitch streams. Great piece of device.

I thought it would be a good steam deck remplacement but hell no the software is so beta and everytime you put a custom background and icons the screen start to glitch and the unit become very unresponsive tested on 3 different computers to be sure and same result , the lcd on this device also have a real bad viewing angle for me its a no. If you feel like that's a deal compare to competitor then take a chance can't recommend this device at all .
