A good piece of extra security to go along with my wheel clamp. I wouldn’t rely on this alone though to stop any thief. Installation so easy.

Good and easy to fit and remove but quite a small lock and key so likely easily picked and I wouldn’t say it’s high security. It is ideal for our little camping trailer when on site but bare in mind a determined thief could simply remove the hitch with a spanner instead. The hitch lock can fit both ways around but as the steel hoop is closer to one end than the other it’s best closer to the trailer to make it more secure on the hitch. Not made of hardened steel so could be cut fairly easily.

Cheap easy security for any trailer

For the money you pay for this hitch lock you just can't go wrong. It's as good as any of the other brands out there but it is probably one of the cheapest. Fits straight into the hitch with no fuss, the lock works perfectly with no faffing around & it's straight forward to operate. Glad I bought it.

According to this description the lock has a strong cast construction to "combat picking". Please see the attached video to see that I had it picked and open in 11 seconds! Deduct a second for me pulling the shackle out and another 2 for me inserting the tools (approximately) so basically 8-10 seconds this is picked and open, had I have used the destructive method i.e smacking it with a hammer it would have been open in 1 or 2 blows with ease. It can be picked, pried or smashed open in seconds please do not waste your money the lock is worthless. For even quicker entry this can be shimmed as the core is spring loaded and the gap between the lock body and shackle is very wide. Simply slip a shim (feeler guages, folded drinks can etc) between the shackle and the core pushing the spring loaded latch back and slide out the shackle. Do not secure anything with this lock.

absolutely nothing wrong with this good product, but didnt work on our hitch as we have a double lever type which is to wide to take it. but wonderful value.

Seemed well made and was easy to install. However, after sitting outside for approximately a month, I tried to unlock it but the keys would not release the lock. I don't know if rain had done something to the lock mechanism or not, but I would not buy this again.
